RoyalBazaar

A Hypixel-style Bazaar for Paper — a bulk commodity market with algorithmic, supply-and-demand pricing. The server is always the counterparty with infinite depth, so there's no order book and no waiting: players buy and sell instantly, and the price moves as they trade.

Built for the eco suite (EcoItems, EcoArmor, and friends), but it runs perfectly well on a server that has none of them.

How the pricing works

RoyalBazaar isn't a fixed-price shop. Every item sits on an AMM-style price curve:

• Buying walks the price up; selling walks it down. Each trade nudges the item's mid-price along an exponential curve, so a market that everyone dumps into gets cheaper, and a scarce item players keep buying gets pricier — automatically.
• Large orders are priced progressively. Cost and proceeds are the integral along the curve, not a flat multiply, so bulk orders get steadily worse fill prices. Buying 200 then selling 200 is a guaranteed loss by construction — round-trip and whale-draining exploits simply aren't profitable.
• A configurable spread sits between the buy and sell price.
• Mean reversion gently pulls every price back toward its configured base over time, so a one-off spike or crash heals on its own.
• Price floors and ceilings cap how far any item can move.

Everything — base price, spread, elasticity (how fast the price reacts), reversion rate, floor, and ceiling — is configured per item.

Configuration

• config.yml — market engine tick rate, price-history interval, trend smoothing, inventory-full handling (refund / drop / partial), and the storage backend.
• categories/*.yml — one file per category; add or remove items and set each item's pricing parameters. Add a category by dropping in a new file.
• gui/*.yml — EcoMenus-style menu layouts, consistent with the rest of the Royal suite.

RoyalBazaar is one of a set of economy plugins that work together but stand alone: RoyalBank (banking), RoyalAuctions (auction house), and EconGuard (shared economy audit + anti-abuse core). Install any combination — they integrate automatically when they detect each other.
