RoyalAuctions

A Hypixel-style Auction House for Paper — built to work properly with the eco suite, and just as well without it.

Bids, buy-it-now, a category-and-tier browser, config-driven GUIs, and full custom-item support. Where a bazaar handles the things players trade constantly, RoyalAuctions handles the one-off items — the rare drop, the god-rolled armor, the pet worth fighting over.

• Confirmations — for buying, bidding, and cancelling, so a mis-click never costs coins.
• Citizens NPC support — right- or left-click an auctioneer to open the house, with a configurable cooldown.

Built for the eco suite

RoyalAuctions has real, first-class support for custom items — not just EcoItems, but the whole ecosystem: armor, talismans, reforges, pets, scrolls, and anything else that lives in an eco namespace.

• Custom items list and sell back intact — full NBT is preserved, so an item survives a listing (and even survives the eco plugin being uninstalled).
• Item tiers come straight from EcoItems' rarities. There's no separate mapping to maintain and no drift — add a rarity, and it becomes a filterable tier across the whole browser.

None of this is required. The eco suite is entirely optional — without it you simply lose custom-item categorisation and the tier filter, and everything else works on any Vault economy.

Categories you can actually trust

Most auction plugins guess an item's category from its base material — which is only ever a guess for a custom item (a custom dagger built on a stick lands in "Misc"). RoyalAuctions is honest about that and gives you the tools to fix it:

• Exact item pinning — pin any item (custom or vanilla) to a category, and the pin beats every inference rule.
• /ah category — hold an item and it tells you its category, which rule decided it, and its tier. No black box.
• A startup audit — logs exactly which items fell through to the catch-all, so you know precisely what's worth pinning instead of enumerating every material in the game.
• Drop-in category files — one file per category; add or remove a category by adding or deleting a file.

Config-driven GUIs

Every screen is a YAML file in the EcoMenus dialect — mask/pattern layout, buttons placed by row and column, effect lists, and %placeholder% values. Add or rearrange anything without touching code, and reload in place.

Base command /auctionhouse — aliases /ah, /auctions, /auction.

Storage

SQLite by default, MySQL for a network. Items are stored with full component data, so custom items are never degraded. Bids are recorded individually, so "auctions I've bid on" stays accurate even after you've been outbid.

Integrations

• eco suite — custom items, tiers, and rarities (optional).
• Citizens — auctioneer NPCs.
• PlaceholderAPI — auction placeholders for scoreboards, chat, and more.
• EconGuard — reports sales to the shared audit ledger when it's installed, so auction activity is correlated with banking and shop activity for anti-abuse / RMT detection.

Requirements

• Paper 1.21+ (tested on Paper 26.2)
• Vault and a Vault-compatible economy provider
• Optional: the eco suite, PlaceholderAPI, Citizens, EconGuard

Installation

1. Drop RoyalAuctions.jar into your plugins/ folder.
2. Start the server — configs generate under plugins/RoyalAuctions/.
3. Edit the menus and categories to taste, then /ah reload.
4. /ah — done.
