Indexor
A lightweight Fabric mod that lets you search for items and blocks in the creative inventory in more than one language at once — no matter your game's active language, you can find what you're looking for by typing it in your native language.
Features
- Bilingual (or multilingual) search — indexes item and block names in both the game's active language and any additional languages you configure.
- Text normalization — ignores accents and diacritics (NFKD), so searching "pocion" finds "poción" without issue.
- Automatic native language detection — if you play in English (
en_us), Indexor can suggest your native language based on your OS locale. - Native integration with creative inventory and recipe book search — results in other languages are merged with vanilla results, with no duplicates, in both the creative inventory search bar and the recipe book search.
- Persistent configuration — saved in
config/indexor.toml(TOML), preserving the file's comments between edits. - In-game commands to manage extra languages and test searches without leaving your game.

All language codes have autocompletion based on the languages actually available in your loaded resources.
How it works
When resources are loaded, Indexor scans every item and block in the game and stores their translated names — normalized without accents — for the active language and each configured extra language. This information is used to intercept both creative inventory search and recipe book search, adding to the vanilla results any item whose name matches in any of the indexed languages.
If you play in English and have never set a native language, Indexor can detect it for you from your OS language the first time you join a world, and suggest it via chat (this only happens once).
Installation
- Install Fabric Loader for your Minecraft version.
- Add Fabric API to your
mods/folder. - Download the
.jarmatching your version and place it inmods/. - Launch Minecraft. Done ✅ Required dependencies: Fabric API
