Description
Lynx Simple Ore Smelter & Vein Miner is a Minecraft Bedrock addon (1.26+) that speeds up mining by combining two features into a single pickaxe: auto-smelting and vein mining.
Key Features
- Auto Smelter — mining ore blocks (Iron, Gold, Copper, Ancient Debris, etc.) instantly yields the finished material (Ingot/Netherite Scrap), no furnace required.
- Vein Miner — hold sneak/crouch while mining to break an entire connected ore vein in one action (capped at 64 blocks per action to preserve performance).
- Full Fortune support — each Fortune level grants a 50% chance of +1 extra item per block, applied to every block during vein mining.
- Durability scaling — durability loss scales with block type; tougher ores (Diamond, Emerald, Ancient Debris) drain more durability than common ores (Coal, Iron, Copper).
- Unbreaking respected — higher Unbreaking levels increase the chance that each point of durability damage is skipped, using the same probability formula as vanilla tools.
- Silk Touch compatibility — if the pickaxe has Silk Touch, the addon steps aside and the block drops normally, unaffected by smelting or Fortune.
- Safe break behavior — a pickaxe that runs out of durability mid-vein will break automatically and mining stops immediately, just like manual mining.
Supported Ores
- Coal, Iron, Copper, Gold, Redstone (including lit variants), Lapis Lazuli, Diamond, Emerald, Nether Gold, Nether Quartz, and Ancient Debris — each available in both regular and Deepslate variants.
How to Use
- Import the .mcaddon file into Minecraft (this adds the Behavior Pack automatically).
- Enable the pack in your world's Behavior Packs settings, and make sure to turn on the Beta APIs toggle, since the addon relies on the Script API.
- Mine ores normally to get auto-smelted results.
- Hold sneak while mining an ore block to trigger vein mining.
Technical Note
This is a pure Behavior Pack built on the @minecraft/server v2.9.0 Script API (compatible with Bedrock 1.26.x and above). It doesn't modify any resource pack or textures, so it's safe to run alongside other addons.
- Edition: Minecraft Bedrock
- File type: .mcpack or .mcaddon
- Minecraft version listed: 1.26
- How to install: Download the .mcpack or .mcaddon file. → Open it — Minecraft imports it. → In your world: Behavior Packs → Available → Activate, then the same under Resource Packs.
- Where to get it: Opens on Modbay — not every file is mirrored on our own servers.
Install steps are the general flow for this file type — How to install Minecraft Bedrock addons & mods walks through it step by step.
