Ceiling Carpets
Java mod listed for Minecraft 1.16. Downloads from the MC Java Mods app on Android.
⬇ Download on CurseForgeThe author built this one for Minecraft 1.16.1–1.16.3 on Forge. On other versions it may install and then do nothing.
This mod adds the option to place any carpet (even non-vanilla carpets) tagged as "minecraft:carpets" on your ceiling.Carpets on the ceiling are translucent, so this mod opens the possibilities of hiding lighting in your ceiling similar to what you would do on the floor.
To place a carpet on the ceiling, simply rclick a block from below. To put a carpet below a block while not on the ceiling, sneak while placing. It will then use vanilla palcement logic.
Known issues: Placement logic of original carpet is not taken into account. This does not matter for vanilla carpets as they are very simple. Some modded carpets might not be oriented in the right way when placing them on the ceiling.
Thanks go to Simibubi from the Create team who spotted some issues with the vector maths while coding this.
