OVERVIEW Sorry, I don't know if there will be updates for this mod
Axolotls are the cutest pets Minecraft could invent, so I decided to create a mod with all features this mobs will have in 1.17 update.
There aren't all features but they're coming early!
I KNOW AXOLOTL ARE RELEASED BY MOJANG IN 20w51a SNAPSHOT, FROM THIS DAY THIS IS A MOD FOR JUST HAVE IT IN EARLIEST MC VERSIONS. I'LL INTRODUCE ALL EXISTING FEATURES

Changed Glow Berries texture
Now Glow Berries have the real texture.

Added animations
Axolotls now have swimming animation.
Version 1.0.0
Created Axolotl.
Created Bucket of Axolotl.
Now you can use a Water Bucket to do a tactical fish and tame Axolotl obtaining Bucket of Axolotl.
Added Glowberries
You can now tame your Axolotl with a Glowberries.
Glowberries can also be eaten.

All textures (like axolotl texture and bucket texture) are made by me, identical to the original showed by Mojang.
All 3D models are made by me.
