NPC Raiders

Have you ever wanted a bit more of a challenge in your survival world? Or maybe just try to practice PvP or PvE skills? Althought this addon might not completely fix any PvP skills, it does add a unique challenge in the game. It adds Raider NPCs!

These NPCs will quickly start spawning in your world, and will immediately try to start hunting you! They spawn with a random amount of low to mid tier vanilla armor and weapons, things like bows, swords, and axes. They will more commonly be seen with copper/leather armor and copper and stone weapons, but occasionally will spawn with iron. 

They often spawn in a group, and will usually have a group leader. You can tell the leader apart by them having iron armor and weapons, and often a totem of undying. Normal raider NPCs will follow the leaders, and the leaders have an extended detection range and can be more of a threat to you than normal raiders.

They will attack (and be attacked) by hostile mobs, they can open and close doors, and can detect players through blocks. Some raiders may jump and leap while attacking, others just attack with bows from afar, others will just do normal melee attacks, and some will retreat immediately after taking damage.

Upon death, they will drop some lower level items. Sometimes they drop armor and weapons that they are equipped with. Typical item drops will be things from bread to apples, to wood planks and sticks, and the occasional iron nugget.
