I don't know my version or loader
Open the Minecraft launcher and look at the profile you play on — it names both, like fabric-loader-1.21.4. The version also shows in the bottom-right corner of the game's main menu.
No loader in the profile name? Then it's plain Minecraft, and these mods won't run — you need Fabric or NeoForge installed first.

Unfortunately, Mojang has added wolf variants into vanilla in the 1.20.5 update.

This means that some of the core features of the Wolves of Other Furs mod may now be redundant.

While it's great to see Mojang expanding on their wolf mechanics, I'll need to carefully consider the mod's future direction.

I may need to shift focus to enhancing the new vanilla wolf system or explore unique features that differentiate Wolves of Other Furs from the base game.

It's safe to say that the 5.0.0 update of W.O.O.F will be drastically different, and may take time to develop.

Information

Wolves Of Other Furs is a mod that reworks the interaction between you - the player -and wolves.

The mod adds variants of the vanilla wolves - found in their corresponding biomes. There are currently 10 variants in Wolves Of Other Furs currently, with more planned for future updates.

W.O.O.F also adds dog beds, and dog bowls. Crafting recipes can be found in the recipe book or Just Enough Items (or whatever you use). Leads are dyeable as well.
