🏹 VectorLock: Bow Aiming — arrows that follow the target

Your arrows steer themselves onto the mob you are aiming at, curving to follow it and leading the shot so moving targets still get hit.

🏹 VectorLock: Bow Aiming — arrows that follow the target

Fire, and the arrow does the rest. Every arrow you loose picks the target you were aiming at and curves onto it — leading a running mob, dropping onto a jumping one, re-acquiring when something steps in the way. Fifteen dials let you set it anywhere from a gentle assist to a guided missile.

Lightweight and built on the Stable Script API: no Experiments, no commands, no resource pack. Achievements stay enabled. Works completely standalone, and slots straight into the shared menu when VectorLock: Core is installed.

✅ Requirements & Compatibility

🏹 What It Does

Bedrock archery is a guessing game. The mob strafes, the arrow drops, and you learn to aim at where nothing is.

Bow Aiming takes that over. The moment an arrow leaves your bow it picks the best target in range — nearest, weighted toward whatever you were actually pointing at — and steers itself there. It predicts where the target is heading and aims at that spot instead. If the mob ducks behind a wall the arrow waits a few ticks, then either re-acquires something else or drops harmlessly.

None of it is fixed. Turn Rate at 0.3 gives a lazy curve that still lets you miss; at 1.0 it snaps straight onto the target. Lock Cone decides how far off your crosshair a mob can be before it is ignored — 20° is a precision assist, 180° will grab anything around you. Line of Sight keeps it honest through walls.

Two extras come with it: Instant Full Draw, so every shot leaves at full power without holding the button, and Instant Crossbow, which skips the charge animation entirely.

✨ Features

🎮 How to Use

  1. Hold a bow or a crossbow — nearby valid targets start glowing.
  2. Aim roughly at what you want and fire. The arrow curves in.
  3. Sneak + hold a Compass to open the menu.
  4. Tune it: Turn Rate and Lock Cone for how strong the assist feels, Range and Target Mode for what it will lock, Headshot and Instant Crossbow for the extras.

📥 Installation

  1. Download the .mcaddon file below.
  2. Open it — Minecraft imports it automatically.
  3. In your world: Settings → Behavior Packs → Activate "Vector Lock Bow Aiming".
  4. Load the world, pull out a bow, and shoot.

❓ FAQ

Is this an aimbot? It is aim assist for arrows, and you control how much. At the default settings you still choose the target by pointing at it, and a 65° Lock Cone means a mob well outside your view is ignored. Turn Rate 0.3 with a 20° cone is a light nudge; Turn Rate 1.0 with a 180° cone is as strong as it gets.

Does it work on other players? Only if you set Target Mode to Players only or All. It never targets you.

Do mobs get homing arrows too? No. Only arrows fired by a player running the add-on are guided.

Why did my arrow fly off and vanish? Either the target got out of Range, the line of sight stayed blocked past the re-acquire delay with nothing else to switch to, or the arrow outlived its Lifetime setting. The arrow simply stops being guided — nothing breaks.

Does the crossbow really cost an arrow? Yes, in Survival — Instant Crossbow spends one arrow from your inventory per shot and puts the crossbow on a short cooldown. In Creative it fires for free.

Does it break achievements? No. The pack carries the official addon flag, so achievements stay on. A world that already had cheats or Experiments enabled at some point stays disabled forever — that is vanilla behavior, so test on a fresh world.

Do I need VectorLock: Core? No. It runs fully standalone. Add Core later and it moves into the shared menu automatically, keeping your settings.
