Cornbread's Music Fixer
Java resource pack listed for Minecraft 1.16–1.20. Download on the author's site.
⬇ Download on CurseForgeFor all the lovers of C418's classic soundtrack, or maybe just the people that are mildly annoyed that Mojang keeps making music play in places it's obviously not supposed to (swamp music plays practically everywhere in vanilla), this pack reworks music so that old biomes don't play music that isn't written for them! Also rebalances Nether Music so that C418's tracks play more often.
Important!
This page will no longer be updated. For versions past 1.1.0, go to Planet Minecraft.
1.1.0 and below are not compatible with MC 1.20.3+
Features:
- Biomes that aren't Swamps no longer play Swamp Music!
- Biomes that aren't Cherry Groves no longer play Cherry Grove Music!
- Greatly shortened in-game pack description to fit on Java Edition's Resource Packs screen.
- Rebalanced Nether Music so that C418's tracks play more often (especially in the Wastes).
- Caves and Cliffs music only plays in the caves and the cliffs!
Known Bugs:
- music_definitions.json doesn't seem to have a java edition analog (at least, not one that I can find). As compensation, all swamps, regardless of mangrove-ness, play Mangrove Swamp Music.
- Pack is in the 16x category since there isn't one for music-related packs.
- Edition: Minecraft Java
- File type: .zip (resource pack)
- Minecraft versions listed: 1.20.1, 1.20, 1.17.1
- How to install: Download the .zip resource pack — do not unzip it. → Put it in .minecraft/resourcepacks. → Enable it in Options → Resource Packs.
- Where to get it: Opens on CurseForge — not every file is mirrored on our own servers.
Install steps are the general flow for this file type — How to install Minecraft Java resource packs walks through it step by step.
