I don't know my version or loader

Open the Minecraft launcher and look at the profile you play on — it names both, like fabric-loader-1.21.4. The version also shows in the bottom-right corner of the game's main menu.

No loader in the profile name? Then it's plain Minecraft, and these mods won't run — you need Fabric or NeoForge installed first.

Easy deaths is a Minecraft mod for fabric. This is a server mod, that adds 4 new gamerules to make the items dropped by players when they die easier to retrieve.

GameRules:

deathItemsSpreadAmount (default: 0.1)
1.0 is default for vanilla
deathItemsNeverDespawn (default: true)
- deathItemsInvulnerable (default: true)
items will be immune to explosions, fire, cactus, and the void (item will be teleported to y level -60 if in the void)
deathItemsGlow (default: true)
