Better Cooked Axolotls is a mod that adds the ability to cook axolotls in a variety of ways.
The mod does not add major changes and can be installed simply to improve the experience of playing vanilla survival.

With this mod, you can finally eat delicious axolotls. Get axolotl meat by killing them or catching them with buckets. You can cook the axolotl or boil it in a bucket of water. Previously useless axolotls now have an important role in the game. Instead of just looking at them, use them to feed yourself.
