Deepwoken Craft

The following are some important mechanics in the mod.

For the parry and rolling systems as a standalone mod, see the Block, Parry, Dodge mod.

Parrying

Clicking G will cause you to parry.

If you are hit within 10 ticks (0.5 seconds) of initiating the parry, you will parry the attack.

Parrying an attack will make you immune to it and knock the attacker back a bit.

Parry cooldown is immediately reset upon successful parry.

Strong Attacks

Every 3-4 times you hit a Deepwoken mob, there will be a flash and sound cue indicating that their next attack will be a Strong Attack.

Strong Attacks are significantly stronger than normal attacks and are intended to be parried.

The Lord Regent and the Scion of Ethiron both have Strong Attacks powerful enough to instantly kill a player through fully enchanted enmity armor and even overwhelm totems of undying.

This is how Deepwoken Craft will test your parry skills.

Rejuvenation

Killing entities will cause you to regain health.

This is similar to regaining health on ragdoll in Deepwoken.

Void Heart

Crafted by combining an ender pearl with iron ingots and gold ingots.

Can be used to send yourself to Scyphozia without dying.

Light Hook

Crafted by combining a Void Heart with a large amount of gold.

Can be used to send yourself directly to the Eternal Gale regardless of where you are, even if you are on the Surface.

Using the Light Hook will not teleport you to a random area in the dimension, so using it near your friends will allow you all to enter the dimension together.

If you enter the Eternal Gale using a Light Hook, dying will not clear your inventory.

Additionally, you will be able to right click the Light Hook again to send yourself back up to the Depths.

Be careful though, as you are still able to wipe in the first layer of the Depths even if you used your Light Hook.

Chime of Challenge

Crafted by combining a bell with a large amount of diamonds.

Can be used to fight the following three bosses:

• Duke Ishamon Erisia
• Maestro Evengarde Rest
• The Ferryman

Chime of Enmity

Crafted by combining a Chime of Challenge with all three of its boss drops.

Can be used while in Scyphozia to undergo the Enmity Trial.

Grimoire of the Crimson Contract

Crafted by combining a book with redstone and many nether bricks.

Can be used in the Eternal Gale to fight Chaser, Scholar of the Crimson Contract.

Idol of Ethiron

Obtained as an uncommon chest drop in New Kyrsa.

Can be used in New Kyrsa to fight the Scion of Ethiron.

Kyrsan Medallion

Obtained as a chest drop from Kyrsan Brutes.

Kyrsan Medallions have various uses.

They can be used to craft pluripotent alloy or craft golden apples and enchanted golden apples.

Pluripotent Alloy

Crafted by combining Kyrsan Medallions with iron ingots.

Can be used to craft kyrsan weapons.

Umbrite Ingot

Obtained as a chest drop from the Warden in the Enmity Trial.

Can be used to craft enmity armor.

Phoenix Down

Obtained as a rare chest drop.

Can be used when you are in Scyphozia, the Eternal Gale, or New Kyrsa to send yourself directly back up to the Surface.

Idol of Yun'Shul

Obtained as a rare chest drop.

Fully heals you to max HP on use.

Armorer Needle

Obtained as a chest drop from bosses.

Can be crafted into Gilded Needles or Forge Needles.

Gilded Needle

Crafted by combining three Armorer Needles with a large amount of gold.

Can be used to obtain a Protection IV enchanted book.

Forge Needle

Crafted by combining three Armorer Needles with pluripotent alloy and diamonds.

Can be used to obtain a Mending enchanted book.

permadeath - Whether or not you can permanently wipe.

parry_cooldown - Cooldown in ticks before the player is able to parry again.

parry_window - The window in ticks after pressing the parry key that successful parries can occur.

refund_parry_cooldown - Whether or not to immediately set parry off cooldown upon a successful parry.

In Deepwoken, there are various different areas around the map for the player to explore.

This mod adds a few of those areas as biomes.

Erisia

Most common biome. Most Deepwoken mobs naturally spawn here.

Starswept Valley

Spawns more uncommonly relative to Erisia. Stronger Deepwoken mobs tend to spawn here.

In Deepwoken, there are a multitude of dangerous monsters that you must fight to progress and survive.

This mod adds several of those monsters to the game.

Megalodaunt

Spawns in Erisia, the Depths, and vanilla beach & river biomes.

Has 30 Health and deals 5 Damage per hit.

Walks fairly fast.

Alpha Megalodaunt

Spawns in the Starswept Valley, the Depths, and in vanilla desert biomes.

Has 30 Health and deals 8 Damage per hit.

Walks fairly fast.

Crimson Megalodaunt

Spawns in the Nether Wastes.

Has 50 Health and deals 8 Damage per hit.

Walks fairly fast and is immune to fire.

Mechalodaunt

Spawns in Erisia and the Starswept Valley.

Has 50 Health and deals 8 Damage per hit.

Walks fairly fast and has high attack range.

Deep Owl

Spawns in Erisia, the Starswept Valley, the Depths, and in vanilla desert biomes.

Has 50 Health and deals 8 Damage per hit.

Bounder

Spawns in the Eternal Gale.

Has 50 Health and deals 8 Damage per hit.

Fallen Angel

Spawns in the Soul Sand Valley.

Has 80 Health and deals 8 Damage per hit.

Has a moderate chance of dropping netherite scrap as chest loot.

Bonekeeper

Spawns in the Eternal Gale.

Has 80 Health and deals 8 Damage per hit.

Walks fairly slowly but has a large amount of health.

Kyrsan Brute

Spawns in New Kyrsa.

Has 80 Health and deals 8 Damage per hit.

Walks fairly slowly but has a large amount of health.

In Deepwoken, there are a multitude of powerful bosses that you can defeat for progression and loot.

This mod adds a few of those bosses to the game.

Duke Ishamon Erisia

Accessed through the Chime of Challenge.

Has 200 Health and deals 8 Damage per hit.

Drops the Whistling Periapt for use in crafting the Chime of Enmity.

Maestro Evengarde Rest

Accessed through the Chime of Challenge.

Has 200 Health and deals 8 Damage per hit.

Drops the Vigil Approval for use in crafting the Chime of Enmity.

The Ferryman

Accessed through the Chime of Challenge.

Has 200 Health and deals 8 Damage per hit.

Drops the Moon Ring for use in crafting the Chime of Enmity.

The Lord Regent

To fight the Lord Regent, the Chime of Challenge must be used while the player has the glowing effect after having completed the Enmity Trial.

Has 1,000 Health and deals 16 Damage per hit.

Chaser, Scholar of the Crimson Contract

Accessed by using the Grimoire of the Crimson Contract while in the Eternal Gale.

Has 200 Health and deals 8 Damage per hit.

Is able to fly and has high attack range.

Upon defeat will spawn a hole to New Kyrsa underneath him.

The Scion of Ethiron

Accessed by using the Idol of Ethiron while in New Kyrsa.

Has 1,000 Health and deals 16 Damage per hit.

Moves fairly fast and has very high attack range.

In Deepwoken, you get most of your loot from completing events, usually from killing NPCs, and then looting the chests that subsequently spawn.

This mod emulates that system by spawning chests containing loot when you kill monsters.

Chests spawned from killing these mobs each have their own unique loot pool.

All Deepwoken mobs will spawn a chest upon death.

All chests can contain ender pearls.

Chests from Fallen Angels can contain netherite scrap.

Chests from Deep Owls, Mechalodaunts, Fallen Angels, Bonekeepers, and Kyrsan Brutes can contain rare loot such as artifacts and legendary weapons.

Chests from Kyrsan Brutes are guaranteed to contain kyrsan medallions.

Chests from bosses are guaranteed to contain armorer needles.

Chests from the Scion of Ethiron have a very high chance of containing legendary weapons.

Chests will despawn after 10 seconds disappearing along with their contents.

In Deepwoken, if you die while your health is stained, you are sent to Scyphozia, a dangerous dimension located underwater populated with powerful monsters. If you die in Scyphozia, all of your progression is reset. However, you have the ability to escape Scyphozia and return to the surface.

This mod emulates that system by adding Scyphozia as a dimension. You are sent to Scyphozia whenever you are killed.

Each time you die, you are teleported to a different, random area in the dimension.

To escape Scyphozia, you must wander through the dimension and search for a Light Altar.

You will notice them by their glow. If you jump in the Light Altar, you will be sent to the Cathedral of the Interstice and have to defeat an Alpha Megalodaunt to complete the trial and escape the Depths.

If you die while you are in the Depths, your inventory and XP are cleared (emulates getting your progression reset, as this mod is intended to be used with keepInventory set to true).

In Deepwoken, you can venture further into the Depths and enter the Second Layer, whose first half is known as the Eternal Gale.

This mod emulates that system by adding the Eternal Gale as a dimension.

To go to the Eternal Gale, you must find an Abyssal Rift within Scyphozia.

You will notice them by their glow. If you jump in the Abyssal Rift, you will sink into the Eternal Gale.

To escape the Eternal Gale, you must either use a Phoenix Down or venture further into the Depths. You may head down further into the Depths by using the Grimoire of the Crimson Contract to fight Chaser, Scholar of the Crimson Contract.

Defeating him will spawn a portal to New Kyrsa underneath him.

If you die while in the Eternal Gale, your inventory and XP are cleared, much like death in Scyphozia.

In Deepwoken, you are able to delve deeper into the Second Layer, into the ancient city of New Kyrsa.

This mod emulates that system by adding New Kyrsa as a dimension.

To go to New Kyrsa, you must fight Chaser, Scholar of the Crimson Contract.

Once you defeat him, a hole will form under him that leads to New Kyrsa.

If you jump into the hole, you will be sent to New Kyrsa.

To escape New Kyrsa, you must fight the Scion of Ethiron by using an Idol of Ethiron. A Light Altar will spawn below him after he is defeated.

If you die while in New Kyrsa, your inventory and XP are cleared, much like death in Scyphozia.

In Deepwoken, you can obtain powerful kyrsan weapons as loot from the Second Layer.

This mod emulates that system by adding these kyrsan weapons to the game.

All bone weapons do +2 Damage compared to their netherite counterparts.

They are crafted by smithing a netherite weapon with a pluripotent alloy.

All kyrsan weapons except the kyrsblade require the More Weapon Types mod to be installed.

Upgraded Sword.

Kyrsedge

Upgraded Dagger.

Kyrsglaive

Upgraded Spear.

Kyrscleave

Upgraded Greatsword.

Kyrsaxe

Upgraded Battleaxe.

In Deepwoken, you can obtain powerful armor as loot from the Heart of Enmity.

This mod emulates that system by adding this enmity armor into the game.

They are crafted by smithing netherite armor with an umbrite ingot.

Aegis of Enmity

Upgraded Helmet.

Bastions of Enmity

Upgraded Chestplate.

Fauld of Enmity

Upgraded Leggings.

Wartreads of Enmity

Upgraded Boots.

In Deepwoken, there are various legendary weapons that can be obtained as rare event drops.

This mod adds multiple of these legendary weapons to the game.

Curved Blade of Winds

Deals 16 Damage and has a 2.4 Attack Speed.

Powerful sword with a faster swing speed than normal swords.

Right click fires a gale blast that deals 16 Damage with a 5 Second Cooldown.

Crypt Blade

Deals 28 Damage and has a 1.0 Attack Speed.

Powerful sword with the same attack speed as an axe.

Right click fires a shadow blast that deals 28 Damage with a 15 Second Cooldown.

Ignition Deepcrusher

Deals 20 Damage and has a 1.6 Attack Speed.

Powerful hammer with the same attack speed as an sword.

Right click fires an explosive blast that deals 20 Damage with an 8 Second Cooldown.

Also functions as a pickaxe tool.

Gran Sudaruska

Deals 24 Damage and has a 1.2 Attack Speed.

Powerful axe with a faster swing speed than normal axes.

Right click fires a frost blast that deals 24 Damage with a 12 Second Cooldown.

Also functions as an axe tool.

Deepspindle

Deals 14 Damage and has a 2.8 Attack Speed.

Powerful rapier with a significantly faster swing speed than normal swords.

Right click fires a shadow blast that deals 14 Damage with a 3 Second Cooldown.

Stormseye

Deals 6 Damage melee and has a 1.6 Attack Speed.

Powerful rifle that can fire bullets from afar.

Right click fires a bullet that deals 16 Damage with a fire rate of 1 shot per second.

Rosen's Hellflame

Deals 6 Damage melee and has a 1.6 Attack Speed.

Powerful rifle that can spew flame from afar.

Right click releases flame that deals 23 Damage with a fire rate of 1 shot every 2 Seconds.

These legendary weapons can be obtained as ultra rare chest drops from certain mobs.

In Deepwoken, there are various hero blades that can be obtained and used as weapons.

This mod adds these hero blades to the game as special swords that have the same damage and swing speed as iron swords but with special on hit effects.

Hero Blade of Flame

Sets enemies on fire for 10 Seconds on hit.

Hero Blade of Frost

Gives enemies slowness for 10 Seconds on hit.

Hero Blade of Lightning

Gives enemies mining fatigue for 10 Seconds on hit.

Hero Blade of Wind

Gives enemies levitation for 2 Seconds on hit.

Hero Blade of Shadow

Gives enemies weakness for 10 Seconds on hit.

In Deepwoken, you can obtain various ranged rifle to use as weapons.

This mod emulates that by adding a few of such rifles.

Summer Rifle

Deals 2 Damage melee and has a 1.6 Attack Speed.

Right click fires a bullet that deals 8 Damage with a fire rate of 1 shot every 2 Seconds.

Rosens Peacemaker

Deals 4 Damage melee and has a 1.6 Attack Speed.

Right click fires a bullet that deals 12 Damage with a fire rate of 1 shot every 2 Seconds.

Obtained as chest loot from Mechalodaunts.

In Deepwoken, there are a large variety of customization options that enhance gameplay and overall enjoyment.

This mod adds a few cosmetic coats to improve immersion and enhance the visual gameplay.

This includes the following:

- Megalodaunt Coat

- Alpha Megalodaunt Coat

- Crimson Megalodaunt Coat

- Mechalodaunt Coat

- Dark Owl Cloak

Coats are crafted by arranging their component material in a chestplate crafting recipe.
