by DKLYNTLY · on CurseForge

Break blocks for random items, entities, enchanted books, or chest loot. for Forge 1.12.2, 1.16.5, 1.20.1 & 1.21.1!

Which build do you need?

This mod ships a separate file for every mod loader and every version of the game. Pick both, then download — the wrong build installs fine and then does nothing in the game.

I don't know my version or loader
Open the Minecraft launcher and look at the profile you play on — it names both, like fabric-loader-1.21.4. The version also shows in the bottom-right corner of the game's main menu.
No loader in the profile name? Then it's plain Minecraft, and these mods won't run — you need Fabric or NeoForge installed first.

🎲 Random Item Generator Resurrected

Every break is a surprise — each drop is special. Built for Forge 1.12.2, 1.16.5, 1.20.1, and 1.21.1.

✨ What's Inside

All blocks regenerate on break. Silk Touch returns the block itself. Fortune increases the number of drops.

🧩 Void 1 Block Compatibility

Fully compatible with Void 1 Block! Instead of regenerating as a plain grass block, the starting block can be swapped for the Random Item Block, so every reset in your void world drops something new instead of the same old grass.

⚙️ Configuration

File: config/random_item_generator_resurrected-common.toml Every block has its own config section with a denylist (block specific entries) and a whitelist (only allow specific entries). Just flip use_whitelist = true to switch modes. The Entity Block also has a master toggle (only_allow_mobs = true) that keeps things simple by only allowing actual mobs to spawn, plus individual switches for hazards like lightning, explosives, and fireballs. All pools are built from the registry at runtime, so modded content is supported automatically.

📊 Stats

Block usage is tracked in the vanilla Statistics screen under the Custom tab.
