Terraria-like Respawning
Java mod listed for Minecraft 1.20. Download on the author's site.
⬇ Download on CurseForgeThis mod makes it so that players after being killed can spectate the area of which they died at for 30 seconds by default before being brought back to life at their overworld spawnpoint.
Respawn time can be adjusted via the command "/gamerule respawnDelay (number of ticks)" for reference there are 20 ticks in a second, so 30 seconds = 600 ticks.
I made this mod out of frustration with the only other delayed respawn mods either being incompatible with any grave mods or being outdated and not updated for 1.20.1 forge.
WARNINGS:
This mod is not compatible with things that set your spawn in another dimension including the respawn anchor.
This mod does not work fully with mods that add new dimensions, if you die in a modded dimension you'll be brought to the overworld to spectate.
The death text "You were slain..." is heavily inspired by the terraria death screen:
So I think it's pretty easy to understand the title of the mod.
