Piglin Names gives all piglins in the world a default or custom name to liven up the nether. While villagers have been getting named since 2019 via Villager Names, piglins have not gotten that same threatment. Until now! Default names are randomly chosen from a list of 5000+ names. It is also possible to add your own custom names, or combine the lists.
There are commands available to unname, name and rename loaded piglins.
All available config options:
useCustomNames default true
Use the custom name list, editable in ./mods/piglinnames/customnames.txt, separated by a comma. If custom names are found, the default name list is ignored.
useDefaultFemaleNames default true
Use the list of pre-defined female names when naming piglins.
useDefaultMaleNames default true
Use the list of pre-defined male names when naming piglins.
useBothCustomAndDefaultNames default false
Disabled by default. Whether both custom and default names should be used to name piglins.
shouldCapitalizeNames default true
If enabled, the mod capitalizes each word in the custom name list.
/piglinnames unname - Removes the names of all loaded piglins.
/piglinnames name - Gives all unnamed loaded piglins a name.
/piglinnames rename - Gives all loaded piglins a new random name.
A piglin that has been given a random name:
