If you're here, you probably miss Minecraft: Story Mode.
I put together this collection of mods to make Java Edition more like Story Mode.
I was inspired by Link101's MC Story Mode Remastered
where I found some of the mods in this modpack. If it weren't for him, I wouldn't have even found great mods like Immersive MC, Better Combat, even Cracker's Wither Storm Mod!
Why SSM?
I chose that name because I want my modpack to be unique. This is MY version of Minecraft: Story Mode, not just copying anyone else's.
What can I expect to play?
It's HARD. I can't last more than a few days from the wither storm alone. Once it evolves... oh boy. Don't summon the witherstorm if you don't want to! It WILL destroy your world... trust me. But, if you do, it's really fun, and nonamecrackers made a really good mod. Other than that? It's just a semi-realistic story-mode-like Minecraft experience.
Why did you put [mod name here] in the modpack???
If you're thinking of Corpse, it's to make it a TOUCH easier. It's like Keep Inventory, except harder and more realistic. However-

Some of the mods I chose might not need to be there. Maybe I forgot to add something? Or maybe I remembered to add it, except the version isn't updated yet? Just tell me in the comments.
Why 1.19.4?
Because it's one of the best versions. End of story.
Celebrating 100 Downloads (I have low expectations), a 1.20.1 version is now live.
DETAILS AS OF ALPHA 1
Better Combat makes combat more realistic, as if you were fighting in Story Mode.
Dynamic Lights, so you can hold that torch and get that light (as seen in MCSM).
Oliver's Story Mode Armors (because MC Story Mode Armors doesn't support 1.19.4) adds Story Mode Armors and a way to get them.
Not Enough Crashes prevents crashes by simply sending you back to the title (It takes waaay too long to just reload MC) while
Crash Assistant tells you WHY you crashed (if during startup or other that wasn't prevented by NEC.)
Lootr gives EVERYONE a chance to get some loot.
Poof Sounds adds the death sounds for mobs.
Essential Mod allows skin changing, a giant wardrobe of cosmetics, and world hosting.
ParCool gives you the ability to pull off some cool moves just like in Story Mode, such as dodging and grabbing ledges.
If I were to describe all 76 (100 for the update!) mods in this pack, it would take too long to read. In summary, there are multiple mods that add all sorts of aspects of Minecraft Story Mode<s>.</s>
- Warning, Story Mod will cause a crash on startup for 1.19.4 (Remove if using Alpha 1)
