Context Matters
Minecraft Java mod. Downloads from the MC Java Mods app on Android.
⬇ Download on CurseForgeA library allowing for simple and performant connected Textures. Originally this was part of XyCraft, but this allows clients to still join vanilla servers while still having connected textures. In the case of it being on the server, this also provides a "rule" mapping for blockstates allowing someone to make use of blocks as an ingredient.
Documentation for how to implement it for other modders is in progress, but the core feature if you'd like to get started is that you will need at least 5 textures:
- No Connection (single block)
- Horizontal connections
- Vertical connection
- Cardinal (+ or just the axis directions)
- Full (All sides are connected)
- Edition: Minecraft Java
- File type: .jar
- How to install: Install the matching mod loader (Forge, Fabric or NeoForge) for your Minecraft version. → Download the .jar. → Put it in the .minecraft/mods folder and launch that loader profile.
- Where to get it: Opens on CurseForge — not every file is mirrored on our own servers.
Install steps are the general flow for this file type — How to install Minecraft Java mods & modpacks walks through it step by step.
- Ships as context-matters-0.9.0-beta.5.jar — drop this file into the mods folder
- Download size: 427 KB
- Download link checked 28 Sept 2026 — working
