What's HunterZ ? :

HunterZ is a minecraft concept created and developped by GussDx back in 2013. The idea is very simple : survive in a light-modded minecraft in an apocalyptic world filled with zombies.

Main objective : Do not die ! Death means the end of your adventure (basically Hardcore mode)

About the modpack :

The goal is to recreate the soul of the old 1.4.7 modpack into modern minecraft, and make it as interesting as possible in regard to a hard and realistic survival experience.

Increased difficulty : 12 years have passed since the first HunterZ season, minecraft players have become better, as such difficulty was significantly increased, do not underestimate zombies, they're far superior to their vanilla counterpart, a single mistake could be fatal ! Zombies are attracted to sounds, light sources and blood, so be careful !

New mechanics : Proximity Voice Chat, and with that, zombies will also be attracted to your voice along with every other sound in the game (Voiceless survival), radios can also be used to communicate over long distances with other players, perfect for roleplay ! You'll also have to pay attention to temperature, thirst and localized body damage thanks to Legendary Survival Overhaul. Finally, seasons will also play a role in your survival, affecting temperatures and crops' fertility.

Scaling difficulty : zombies will get stronger and stronger as time passes by, they'll also spawn more frequently each 20 days, they'll never stop being a menace, even with good gear !

Custom drops : zombies drops are altered to help you on your journey, they'll sometime drop food and other essential raw materials.

Some recommended rules :

• Play without the minecraft chat, as it could break immersion in some instances
• Don't use world-map mods, use your compass to get coordinates, and follow your sens of direction as a true survivor !
• Try to not build elevated bases and keep your buildings realistic to not break the difficulty of the game.

What's to come ?

Currently, there's no custom structures in your worlds (all of them are disabled in the structurify.json config file), but some home-made ones are to be expected in future updates to add more exploration !

More scary zombies ! Currently zombies can only destroy leaves and glass blocks, if possible, this will be expanded into the scaling difficulty for zombies to be able to destroy all blocks with careful balance in mind.
