This is a datapack that generates a random maze using the vanilla Jigsaw system that Minecraft uses to generate 'random' structures such as villages and Nether fortresses.

I created this datapack because while the vanilla villages were relatively simple with just seeing how the Jigsaw blocks are used, I wanted to create something more simpler and less subtle to see it in action so I can fully understand the system. I figured I might as well release this publicly since someone else might get value out of it.

Also it's fun seeing something you made yourself out of a game's system work, and I wanted something new to do in the game ;)

The main file is a datapack that you can append to a world like any other. The maze itself will naturally generate if used in a new world (with the exception of superflat presets) so keep that in mind. (if it's the overworld, it will generate). The namespace used should be mazegen:

Included with the datapack downloads is an optional (but reccomended) world that contains all the parts individually if you want to see how the structure is set up, since that was kinda my main motivation for making this lol.

Superflat worlds reccomended only for visual clarity, but other than that glhf. To place in a superflat world, do /place structure mazegen:maze ~ ~ ~

(digging into the datapack files to see how its done is encouraged)
