Yer a Wizard
21 spells that actually do something. Not like every other magic plugin.

21 spells. Two wands. One jar.
Paper 1.21.x · Java 21 · no dependencies · nothing else to install
▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
Hold the wand and your hotbar turns into a spellbar. Scroll to pick a spell, click to cast, press Q to put it away. That is the whole control scheme, and a new player has it in ten seconds.
What is behind it is not ten reskinned fireballs. Freeze a whole battlefield in place. Reel yourself across a ravine on a grapple line. Leave your body standing and fly off as a ghost. Raise a 12 block giant of stone that fights for you. Rewind the last 30 seconds of the world.
▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
Why servers keep it
- 21 spells, and every one of them plays differently. Attack bolts, escapes, utility, and six spells that are events on your server.
- Two wands. The Wizard's Wand for everyone, the Elder Wand as the thing your players actually want: faster, harder hitting, extra hearts, bigger reach.
- Charged casting. Hold right click on Fireball, Freeze or Levitation for the bigger version, with a boss bar showing the wind up.
- No dependencies. No ProtocolLib. No NMS builds to match. One jar covers 1.21.4 through 1.21.11.
- It cleans up after itself. Walls, portals, doubles, giants and buffs all disappear on sheathe, death, logout and restart, and get swept again on join. A crash cannot leave a giant walking around your spawn.
- Safe by default. Almost every spell puts the world back exactly as it found it. The three that flatten terrain are op only out of the box.
- Plays nice with your protection plugins. WorldGuard, GriefPrevention, Towny and CoreProtect all see and can veto the spells that touch blocks. No setup, no compatibility flags.
- Tuned by you. Every cooldown, damage value, radius and duration is in the config, and /wizard reload applies it live.
- Built for real servers. Bolts are not entities, so no projectile spam, and every world edit is rate limited with a hard ceiling.
- Tested on live servers, not just compiled. Every number on this page was measured in game.

The spells
Three pages of spellbar. Slot 9 turns the page, Q comes back, Q again puts the wand away.
Cooldowns are shown as standard wand / Elder Wand. A spell that misses costs you nothing.
Page one
| Spell | Cooldown | What it does |
| ✦ Discombobulate | 0.8s / 0.32s | A fast bolt that hurts, knocks back, blinds and sickens. Your bread and butter. |
| ✹ Fireball | 4s / 1.6s | A corkscrewing fireball that explodes and sets things alight. Charge it and it punches through everything in a 50 block line. |
| ❄ Freeze | 6s / 2.4s | Seals a target in ice and roots them. Hit water and you get a walkway across it. Charge it and winter breaks out around you. |
| ☠ Killing Curse | 8s / 3.2s | One green bolt, one dead target. Totems of Undying do not save them. |
| ✵ Expecto Patronum | 6s / 2.4s | A wave of light sweeps out 20 blocks and throws every hostile clear of you. The panic button. |
| ✜ Protego Absconditum | 8s / 3.2s | Vanish into a sealed shelter for 8 seconds, safe and healing, then reappear where you left. |
| ✥ Levitation | 5s / 2s | Grab a mob, a player or a chunk of wall and fly it around on your crosshair. Charge the throw and hurl it. |
| ⌖ Apparate | 3s / 0.5s | Left click to blink where you are looking. Right click to leave your body behind and fly off as a ghost. |
Page two
| Spell | Cooldown | What it does |
| ⧖ Stasis Absoluta | 30s / 12s | Time stops in a 60 block sphere for 15 seconds. Mobs, arrows in flight, falling blocks, fire, lit TNT. You still move. |
| ≋ Fiendfyre | 8s / 3.2s | A serpent of living flame you let go of. It hunts on its own, burns what it catches, and leaves a scorched trail. |
| ⛰ Muro | 5s / 2s | Tears a wall of earth up out of the ground in front of you. Crumbles after 12 seconds and puts every block back. |
| ⚓ Carpe Retractum | 1.2s / 0.5s | A grapple line that reels you in like a zipline. Point it at a mob instead and the mob comes to you. |
| ◎ Portus | 7s / 2.8s | A linked pair of portals that stand for 5 minutes. Sprint in one end, come out the other still sprinting. |
| ⧉ Geminio | 8s / 3.2s | A double of you in your own kit, with 100 hearts, that fights alongside you and soaks the hits. Shift click for a whole crowd. |
| ◱ Engorgio Reducio | 6s / 2.4s | Shrink something small and weak, or blow it up big and dangerous. Works on players. |
Page three: the big ones
These are the spells your players will screenshot.
| Spell | Cooldown | What it does |
| ◮ Mundus Verto | 20s / 8s | Reshape the landscape. Point anywhere and a dome up to 40 blocks across lifts, flattens or carves to that height. Cast again to undo the lot. |
| ☄ Ruina | 90s / 36s | The end of a place. The sky darkens, the ground splits, sixty meteors fall, then one shockwave races out 100 blocks. |
| ↺ Tempus Retro | 60s / 24s | Rewind the last 30 seconds. Blocks come back, wounds close, the dead stand up. |
| Ω Gigas | 60s / 24s | A 12 block giant of stone hauls itself out of the ground and fights for you. It punches shockwaves and throws boulders. |
| ∾ Aqua Rex | 45s / 18s | A serpent of water rises out of a real lake and coils around you as a bodyguard, lashing and drowning whatever comes close. |
| ☀ Sol Invictus | 60s / 24s | Hang a small sun over an area. It lights the ground and burns everything under open sky, then it falls and leaves a crater of glass. |
▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
The two wands
| What changes | Wizard's Wand | Elder Wand |
| Cooldowns | full | 60% faster |
| Damage and reach | standard | much harder, much further |
| Bonus hearts | none | +5 while it is drawn |
| Levitation grab | one block | a 3x3x3 chunk of wall |
| Killing Curse | one target | everything within 3 blocks |
| Geminio doubles | up to 3 | up to 8 |
| Gigas giants | up to 2 | up to 5 |
| Double tap jump | no | launches you where you are looking |
Give the standard wand out freely and keep the Elder Wand as a reward, a crate prize, or a boss drop. Both are one command.

A closer look
Spoiler: Apparate: leave your body behind
Right click Apparate and you step out of your body as an untouchable ghost, flying, while your body keeps standing exactly where you left it. On 1.21.9 and newer that body is a real player model wearing your own skin, so anyone watching sees you standing perfectly still.
Fly wherever you like, left click, and your body appears at the ghost. Press Q to change your mind and snap back. Every arrival gives you two seconds of invulnerability, so you never land straight into a hit.
Scouting a base, escaping a fight, checking whether the coast is clear: this one spell does all three.

Spoiler: Geminio: a double that fights for you
Your double wears your kit, walks, sprints, chops at trees, mines at stone, and picks fights with anything hostile nearby. It has 100 hearts, so it soaks a serious beating, and mobs go for it instead of you.
It lives 30 seconds and drops absolutely nothing when it dies, so there is no way to duplicate your gear with it.
Shift click to summon more instead of replacing the last one: three at once with the standard wand, eight with the Elder Wand. Eight copies of you sprinting around a fight is exactly as chaotic as it sounds.

Spoiler: Stasis Absoluta: the frozen moment
Not slowed. Stopped. For 15 seconds, everything inside a 60 block sphere is frozen where it stands: mobs mid swing, arrows mid air, falling blocks, spreading fire, flowing water, and lit TNT held on its fuse.
You walk freely through all of it. Defuse a trap, walk through a mob of skeletons, or stop a raid on the spot and pick your moment.

Spoiler: Mundus Verto and Tempus Retro: the two spells that change everything
Mundus Verto reshapes the land. Aim at a height and the ground flows out to meet it, up to 40 blocks across, lifted or carved, blended into the terrain at the edges instead of leaving a cliff. It moved 6,594 blocks in one measured cast, and casting again inside a minute put every single one of them back exactly as it was.
Tempus Retro runs the last 30 seconds backwards. Blocks return, wounds close, everything goes back where it was, and things that died stand up. A test area measured 1,014 blocks, dropped to 993 after two TNT, and came back to exactly 1,014 three casts running.
Between them, your staff have a terraforming tool and an undo button.

Spoiler: Gigas, Aqua Rex and Sol Invictus: the set pieces
Gigas pulls a giant out of the ground, built from whatever terrain it rose through. It strides, and the ground shakes when it lands a step. Up close it punches a shockwave for around 36 damage, and at range it throws boulders. Shift click to raise several at once.
Aqua Rex needs real water nearby, and says so rather than wasting your cooldown. Given a lake, thirty segments of living water rise out of it and coil around you, lashing out and actually drowning whatever comes near. It stays with you rather than flying off.
Sol Invictus hangs a small star 20 blocks up. It lights the ground for real, and burns every hostile standing under open sky, so shelter suddenly matters. Then it falls, and leaves a 30 block crater of glass, magma and fire.

Spoiler: Ruina: the one you use once
Ten seconds, four acts. The sky darkens and ash starts falling. Eight fissures tear outward from the centre. Sixty meteors fall, building from a trickle to a downpour. A beat of silence, then one shockwave races out 100 blocks and throws everything living clear.
A measured test area went from 1,046 solid blocks to 453. This one is permanent, on purpose, which is why it is op only and why break-blocks: false exists if you want the spectacle without the damage.

Installation
- Drop the jar in plugins.
- Restart.
- /wand or /elderwand.
That is it. The config writes itself on first start at plugins/YerAWizard/config.yml, fully commented, and /wizard reload picks up changes.
▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
Good to know before you download
- Apparate's ghost body and Geminio's double appear as a real player model with your skin on 1.21.9 and newer. On older servers they use an armour stand version instead. Everything works either way.
- Tempus Retro undoes what players and the world did. It cannot undo a /fill, a /setblock or a world edit, because those leave no trace for it to follow.
- Ruina, Sol Invictus's crater and its melting of ice are permanent. That is deliberate, and it is why all three of the world changing spells are op only until you say otherwise.
- The double is a statue that moves. It walks, fights and sprints, but its arms do not swing.
- The jar is obfuscated, so a stack trace from it will not tell you much. If something goes wrong, tell me what you did and what the action bar said and I will find it.
