Limited Lives Hardcore
Hardcore system with limited lives, automatic spectator mode upon final death, spectator-safe portal transit, and admin commands. No Beta APIs required.
⬇ Download on CurseForgeThe author built this one for Minecraft 26.40. On other versions it may install and then do nothing.
Simple but useful Hardcore-like addon designed for co-op challenge runs and survival playthroughs (especially alongside horror addons). It eliminates the need to manually track team deaths or enforce spectator rules.
Key Features:
- Limited Lives System: Players start with 3 lives by default.
- Automated Spectator Mode: Upon losing all lives, players automatically switch to Spectator mode and teleport to their death location.
- Realms & Achievement Safe: Built on the stable Script API (@minecraft/server v1.14.0). Requires no Beta APIs and preserves world achievements.
- QoL Smart Spectator Portals: Spectators can pass through Nether and End portals to automatically teleport to living teammates or safe ground.
Note: Due to Bedrock Engine limitations and maintaining Achievement compatibility (avoiding Beta APIs), exact portal positioning accuracy for spectators cannot be 100% guaranteed in unloaded chunks. Transit prioritizes nearest living players or safe surface fallbacks.
Admin Commands:
/scriptevent boi:getlives [PlayerName] - Check remaining lives for yourself or a specific player.
/scriptevent boi:setlives <PlayerName> <Amount> - Set a player's exact life count (setting amount >0 restores Survival mode).
/scriptevent boi:resetlives [PlayerName] - Reset lives to default (3). Leave player name empty to perform a global reset for everyone.
