Aeronautics Winds & Weather Mod (1.21.1) – Sail Oceans and Skies with Real Wind

Aeronautics Winds & Weather Mod adds wind physics, weather systems, and sailing mechanics for Create and Create Aeronautics. It brings working cloth sails, ship steering parts, and over a dozen weather types to your skies and oceans. Wind speed changes with altitude and pushes your ships forward based on how you trim your sails. You can build full sailing ships, measure local wind patterns with custom instruments, and fly through air currents with special wind gliders.

Sailing and Hydrodynamics:

• Masts and Yards form the framework needed to stretch and hang your ship sails.
• Keels stack along the bottom of the hull to increase water grip and help ships tack into the wind.
• Rudders stack vertically to increase turning power for larger ships.

Weather and Tools:

• Regional weather changes local sky conditions, precipitation, and air temperature.
• Custom measuring devices give exact readings on local air pressure, temperature, and wind headings.

Commands:

• /aerowind query: reads wind speed, direction, temperature, and air pressure at your current coordinates.
• /aerowind set <speed> <bearing>: sets a manual wind speed and wind heading.
• /aerowind clear: resets wind behavior back to natural weather simulation.
• /aeroweather query: checks the current regional weather conditions.
• /aeroweather set <type> <intensity> [duration]: sets regional weather conditions with optional duration.

Configuration:

• Common world and physics settings are located in config/aeronauticswinds-common.toml.
• Client visual settings are located in config/aeronauticswinds-client.toml.

How to Use:

1. Place Mast and Yard blocks along your ship frame.
2. Right-click a Yard block with a Cotton Sail or Canvas Sail in your hand, then click the lower opposite corner to rig the cloth.
3. Sneak and right-click on the sail cloth to reef or roll up the sail when not in use.
4. Place Keel blocks beneath the waterline along the hull axis to stop sideways drift.
5. Attach a vertical shaft to a Rudder block to control your ship heading while under sail.
