What is it?
Canvas is a texture pack that raises the resolution of the default Minecraft textures and stays true to what is being depicted without adding too many details not present in the originals. In each texture (the newer 256 textures) you will find very precise and smooth lines of varying width, created with much intention behind every stroke. The work of seven years of ever growing interpretative and technical skill. Enjoy the familiar classic Minecraft look with incredibly hi-res and anti-ailiased textures.

The textures I make for this pack can take a long time to make. My process of creating these textures is to take a default texture and 'faithfulize' it into 32x32 resolution. Then, I scale that new texture into 256x256 resolution to use it as a base. Then I brush it up with smooth and sharp lines. I put lots of detail, care, and intention into each texture.

Every new texture I make from now on will be 256. I used to make textures with 128 as the highest resolution. When you use the 256 version, most of the textures will be 128. The only textures that are 256 are the ones in the Update #42 log and above.
