Salt & pepper

Adds salt and pepper to enhance the taste of your food a bit

Which build do you need?

This mod ships a separate file for every mod loader and every version of the game. Pick both, then download — the wrong build installs fine and then does nothing in the game.

I don't know my version or loader
Open the Minecraft launcher and look at the profile you play on — it names both, like fabric-loader-1.21.4. The version also shows in the bottom-right corner of the game's main menu.
No loader in the profile name? Then it's plain Minecraft, and these mods won't run — you need Fabric or NeoForge installed first.

Enhance your food with a pinch of salt, or pepper!

This mod adds salt and pepper, which you can use to imrpove your food. They can also be combined and put into shakers.

Shakers

These handy items allow you to right click any food item (while holding a shaker) to season it instantly, so you don't need to use a crafting table each time. You can make an empty shaker with an iron nugget and glass. You can them fill up the shaker with either; salt, or pepper. With each refill you add extra 8 uses to the shaker, with a maximum of 64, meaning you can season a whole stack of food at once.

Salt

You can obtain salt underground in its stone, or even deepslate form. Upon breaking the rock salt you gain salt chunks which you can then shove into a furnace and get usable salt to make your food reeal salty.

Pepper

To find pepper you will need to venture into the jungle, where you can find a pepper pod, which behaves similar to a cocoa pod. Upon breaking it you get seeds to grow more and/or green peppercorns. Now you can't do much with the green peppercorns themselves, you first need to boil them. You can do this by either placing a campfire underneath a caulron filled with water and right clicking, or using the cooking pot from farmers delight. Once boiled you get blanched peppercorns. Similar to the salt you now need to put these in a furnace to get black peppercorns. And lastly you need to break them down into fine powder, which you can do with the power of your own fist (your inventory crafting).
