Catalysts

Description

Catalysts is an Origins-inspired mod that introduces unique Catalysts-playstyles with their own abilities, mechanics, and progression.

Unlike Origins, Catalysts are designed around active gameplay. Each Catalyst comes with custom abilities, HUD elements, and mechanics that encourage mastering a specific combat or exploration style.

• Choose your Catalyst when joining the world.
• Every Catalyst has its own active abilities and mechanics.
• Custom HUDs and quality-of-life visuals.
• Built as a framework for adding many more Catalysts over time.

Current Catalysts

Gunpowderborn

Become a living demolition expert.

• Prime up to 3 blocks as hidden explosives. (Shift + RMB)
• Switch between Remote and Proximity trigger modes. (B)
• Detonate all remotely primed explosives at once. (V)
• Explosions scale with the hardness of the primed block.
• Use your shield to perform explosive jumps and launch yourself across the terrain.
• Primed blocks are highlighted through walls for easier planning.
• Powerful explosions require cooldown management and careful positioning.

Human

The default Catalyst with no special abilities.

Status

This mod is currently in 0.1.0-beta.
