Shift & Fade: Waystones adds a complete survival-friendly fast-travel network to Minecraft Bedrock. It is also the official playable reference implementation for the public Shift & Fade Protocol v2 SDK, using the same integration path available to third-party add-on creators.
The project is a real gameplay add-on, not only a code sample: build and discover Waystones, organize destinations, travel with XP costs, use portable teleport items, link Teleport Pads, and find naturally generated Waystones across the Overworld.

Features
- Place private or public Waystones with persistent custom names.
- Discover generated Waystones and keep a personal destination network.
- Mark destinations as favorites.
- Same-dimension travel costs 1 XP level per 500 blocks, capped at 6 levels.
- Cross-dimensional Waystone travel costs 6 levels.
- Warp Stone for portable travel.
- Return Scroll for returning to the previous location.
- Death Scroll for a safe return after death.
- Home Scroll for home/spawn travel.
- Pair Teleport Pads for free point-to-point travel with anti-bounce protection.
- Natural wilderness Waystones in the Overworld.
- Biome-aware village Waystone sanctuaries generated at runtime.
- Custom sounds, original visual identity and PBR assets prepared for Vibrant Visuals.
- US English and Mexican Spanish localization.
- Singleplayer and multiplayer/server support.
Shift & Fade reference/demo
Waystones is intentionally built as a consumer of the public Shift & Fade copy-in SDK instead of importing Core internals. This makes the add-on both useful gameplay content and a practical example for creators building Homes, Warps, Portals, Fast Travel systems or other teleport integrations.
When Shift & Fade is installed, Waystones routes travel through Protocol v2 and gains the cinematic Grand/Twilight teleport presentation plus the transport/safety behavior provided by Core.
Waystones can still run without Shift & Fade through a player-only instant fallback, so Shift & Fade is strongly recommended rather than technically mandatory.
Optional WATI support
Waystones includes optional Providers for the WATI ecosystem:
- WATI Core / Codex: public Waystone items, blocks and generated structures are registered as add-on-owned knowledge.
- WATI Lens: looking at Waystones and Teleport Pads can show localized names and dynamic information such as the registered destination name, access state, discovery/favorite status, visible destination count and pad links.
WATI is not required to play Waystones.
Installation
- Import
Shift_Fade_Waystones_v1.0.0.mcaddon. - Activate both the Behavior Pack and Resource Pack in the world.
