⚰ WHAT IS ASTERIONGRAVES?

AsterionGraves is a complete death recovery system designed for modern Minecraft servers.

Whenever a player dies, their items are safely stored inside a grave instead of being left scattered on the ground.

Each grave uses the dead player's own head and skin and can display a clean hologram containing information such as the player's name, death cause, coordinates and remaining lifetime.

Players can return later, locate their graves using /graves, manually recover their items or instantly loot everything with Quick Loot.

☠ PLAYER DEATH GRAVES

Whenever a player dies, AsterionGraves automatically creates a grave containing their items.

Supported deaths include:

• Player kills
• Mob kills
• Fall damage
• Lava
• Fire
• Explosions
• Drowning
• Suffocation
• Void damage
• Projectiles
• And many more

The grave is represented by the player's own head and skin, making every grave easy to recognize.

Graves are also persistent, meaning they remain available after server restarts.

✨ CLEAN & CUSTOMIZABLE HOLOGRAMS

Every grave can display a modern hologram directly above it.

The default hologram can show:

• Player name
• Death cause
• Exact coordinates
• Remaining grave lifetime

AsterionGraves uses native Minecraft display entities, meaning no external hologram plugin is required.

The hologram system can be customized with:

• Billboard mode
• Alignment
• Height and position
• Yaw and pitch
• Scale
• Translation
• Text opacity
• Background color
• Background transparency
• Text shadow
• See-through mode
• Line width
• View range
• Brightness
• Glow
• Interpolation
• Display width and height

By default, graves use a fully transparent hologram background for a clean appearance.

MULTIPLE LOOTING METHODS

Players can recover their items in several different ways.

Right Click
Opens the grave inventory.

Click & Drag
Pick up items normally and manually move them into your inventory.

Shift + Click
Quickly transfers the selected stack from the grave into your inventory.

Shift + Right Click on the Grave
Instantly loots the entire grave.

If the player's inventory is full during Quick Loot, anything that cannot fit is dropped safely at the player's feet.

⚡ QUICK LOOT

Perfect for PvP situations where players need their equipment back immediately.

Simply Sneak + Right Click the grave.

AsterionGraves will:

• Take every item stored inside the grave
• Put everything that fits into the player's inventory
• Drop anything that does not fit at their feet
• Remove the grave once it has been completely looted

No need to stand still organizing items while another player is nearby.

/GRAVES MENU

Players can manage and locate all of their active graves using:

Each grave can display information such as:

• World
• Exact coordinates
• Death cause
• Remaining lifetime

When teleportation is enabled, players can also teleport directly to their grave from the menu.

This is especially useful when someone dies far away and no longer remembers the location.

SMART SAFE PLACEMENT

Deaths do not always happen somewhere safe.

Players may die:

• Inside lava
• Inside a wall
• While suffocating
• Inside unsafe blocks
• In dangerous terrain
• In locations without a valid surface

Instead of blindly placing the grave at the exact death block, AsterionGraves searches for the closest safe location possible.

For example, if a player dies inside a lava pool, the plugin can move the grave to a nearby safe surface instead of leaving it submerged.

The grave always attempts to remain as close to the original death position as possible.

⏱ GRAVE EXPIRATION

Every grave has a configurable lifetime.

When its timer reaches zero:

• The grave disappears
• The hologram is removed
• Any items still stored inside are dropped at the grave location

The grave duration can be changed directly from the configuration.

GRAVE PROTECTION

Graves are protected against common forms of destruction and interference.

Protection includes:

• Block breaking
• Explosions
• Pistons
• Liquid interaction
• Environmental interference

AsterionGraves is also designed to handle grave interaction inside locations where normal container interaction may be restricted, such as PvP warps, mines or protected areas.

KEEPINVENTORY SUPPORT

AsterionGraves respects Minecraft's keepInventory system.

If keepInventory is enabled for a death:

• No grave is created
• No items are removed
• No hologram is created
• No grave compass is generated
• The player's inventory remains untouched

This makes AsterionGraves ideal for networks using different gameplay rules between worlds.

OPTIONAL GRAVE COMPASS

An optional grave compass system is included.

When enabled, players can receive a special compass after respawning.

The compass can:

• Point toward the player's grave
• Show grave coordinates
• Display grave information
• Open the /graves menu with Right Click

Don't want the additional item?

The compass system can be completely disabled from config.yml.
