Universal Ore Glow

Universal Ore Glow is a lightweight, client-side utility mod for Minecraft 1.21.1 (NeoForge) that renders 3D colored outlines around ore blocks.

Unlike texture-based solutions, this mod renders highlights via code, ensuring dynamic support for vanilla and modded ores without the need for manual resource pack edits.

Features

Dynamic Mod Compatibility: Uses standard Minecraft block tags (#c:ores and #forge:ores) to automatically identify and outline ores added by other mods (such as Mekanism, Create, Industrial Foregoing, etc.) without requiring individual compatibility patches.

Distinct Ore Coloring: Assigns unique outline colors based on the type of ore (e.g., light blue for Diamond, yellow for Gold, bright green for Emerald). Unrecognized modded ores will display as clean white outlines.

Resource Pack Friendly: Because the outlines are drawn entirely via code, they work cleanly on top of any custom high-resolution or 3D block resource packs you have installed.

Optimized Performance: Rather than scanning the world on every frame, the block scanner runs on a rate-limited background tick cycle to prevent frame rate drops.
