Still using your old client version to connect to a new server? Yeah, you'll update your client later. ViaLater, mob emulator, takes the ViaBackwards mappings and attempts to reskin or replace the backported mobs.
Using hidden protocol changes in the entities, we can key off of them using ETF and EMF and reskin the right entities, helping the illusion that you're in a newer version of Minecraft, without the placeholders!
Who's it for: Anyone on an older client connecting to a newer server and really wants to see the newer mobs and entities.
How to use it: Install ETF, Entity Texture Features for reskins, and EMF, Entity Model Features for new mob models. Make sure they're turned on. Optifine was adhered to as much as possible, so it should work, too. Install this pack. Join from a supported version to a newer server!
NOTE: Server must be running ViaBackwards 5.11.1-SNAPSHOT or newer This means you need the latest ViaVersion to support it.
