Sky Void Additions Data Pack (26.1.1, 1.20.1) – Vanilla-like Mechanics Additions

Sky Void Additions Data Pack adds vanilla-like mechanics to the game which makes all items, mobs, and advancements obtainable in SkyBlock. Some mechanics require structure bounding boxes, so make sure your SkyBlock map or data pack generates those bounding boxes, such as Standard SkyBlock. Enjoy playing this data pack!

Features:

Configuration

• All settings are toggleable via an in-game menu. Use the command /function skyvoid_additions:customize/update_config/open_menu to access it.

Mechanics (Enabled by default)

• Environment & Terrain
  • Amethyst Geode Creation
    Create geodes by surrounding a 2×2×2 packed ice cube with lava. The four top lava blocks must be source blocks; others can be flowing. Each exposed packed ice side must touch lava.
  • Netherrack & Nylium Portals
    Platforms made of netherrack or nylium generate instead of obsidian when spawning over the void.
    Nylium portals require Netherrack Portals.
  • Magma Cube Ore Conversions
    Magma cubes convert stone, deepslate, and netherrack into ores or different stone types when engulfed.
  • Coral Block Growth
    Bonemealing coral blocks converts attached coral fans into blocks.
  • Moss & Spore Blossoms
    Bonemeal moss in lush caves to grow spore blossoms beneath.
• Mob & Creature Mechanics
  • Armor Chipping
    Hitting mobs wearing chestplates may break the armor and drop base materials (diamond, iron, netherite).
  • Armor Trim Gifts
    Armorers gift armor trims depending on biome.
  • Spiders & Cave Spiders
    Spiders at ceiling edges generate cobwebs; some spawned in 3×3 cobwebs at light level 0 become cave spiders.
  • Endermites Behavior
    – Convert cobblestone into end stone.
    – Dig into end stone to grow chorus flowers if there is another end stone block below.
  • Blazes, Drowneds, and Other Mobs
    – Blazes killed by powdered snow convert into breezes.
    – Drowneds can spawn holding sniffer eggs and place them after trampling turtle eggs.
    – Elder guardians drop hearts of the sea when killed by players.
    – Guardians struck by lightning become elder guardians.
    – Foxes may spawn with sweet berries.
  • Sneezy Suspicious Sniffers
    Sniffers sneeze on sand or gravel, converting them into suspicious variants.
• Fishing & Loot
  • Cocoa Bean Fishing – Can be fished as junk in jungles.
  • Dead Bush Fishing – Can be fished as junk in deserts and badlands.
  • Glow Lichen Fishing – Can be fished as junk in lush caves.
• Trading & Gifts
  • Gold Block Bartering – Piglins barter various items (pigstep, horse armor, gilded blackstone, nether wart, banners) for gold blocks.
  • Swift Sneak Gifts – Librarians in ancient cities gift the Swift Sneak enchantment.
  • Trial Chamber Sherd Gifts – Masons gift pottery sherds exclusive to trial chambers.
  • Cats Gift Enchanted Golden Apples – Cats may gift enchanted golden apples when sleeping.
  • Piglins Hold Netherite Upgrade Template – Piglins in bastion remnants may hold a netherite upgrade template.
  • Traders with Camels – Some wandering traders have camels instead of llamas.

Extra Mechanics (Disabled by default)

• Mob Transformations
  • Vexes Convert to Allays – Vexes play note blocks; after 5 matching notes, they convert to allays.
  • Shulkers from Lightning – Purpur struck by lightning converts into shulkers.
  • Elytra & Dragon Drops – Rare chance for dragons to drop eggs or broken elytra; large phantoms drop broken elytra.
• Bartering & Trading
  • Wandering Traders Sell Items – Enchanted golden apples, grass blocks, lava buckets, sniffer eggs, sweet berries.
    Requires Additional Wandering Trades for most items.
  • Nether Wart, Netherrack, Nylium Bartering – Piglins barter these blocks for gold ingots.
• Trial & Raid Mechanics
  • Trial Spawners from Sculk – Players with Bad Omen V can convert shriekers into trial spawners by killing mobs above catalysts.
  • Vaults from Ominous Raid Captains – Level 5 raid captains may replace bells with vaults within a trial chamber bounding box.
  • Ominous Keys from Ominous Raid Captains – Raid captains can drop ominous trial keys.
• Resource Renewability
  • Coal Compresses into Diamonds – Anvils dropped on coal blocks compress them into diamonds.
  • Heavy Core Renewability – Falling anvils shot by a breeze may convert into heavy cores.
  • Husks Drop Sand – Burning husks on dirt drops sand; coarse dirt becomes red sand.
• Other Mechanics
  • Shrieker Endermen Spawn – Endermen can spawn holding sculk shriekers on deepslate tiles in Standard SkyBlock.
  • Sonic Boom End Portal – Endermen killed by a Warden’s sonic boom may drop end portal frames.
  • Pottery Sherd Gifts from Traders – Traders sell pottery sherds exclusive to trial chambers.
