"Nosy's Natural Expansion" focuses on expanding on the vanilla biomes by adding new plants, mobs, and more!

This is my first mod and will likely be updated by adding new features in the future!

🌲 World Generation 🌲

 

🌱 General World Gen 🌱

Shorter grass, Sprouts, Tall Sprout, Clovers and Tall Bush will generate everywhere in the world where they have a valid placement condition. Tall Sprouts and Clovers can be placed on sand, but will generate less.

🌳 Birch Forest Improvements 🌳

The Birch Forest and Old Growth Birch Forest have received improvements:

• Oxeye daisies and Dandelions will now generate to complement the color of the newly-added Wild flowers.
• Wall Mushrooms will now generate on the side of trees (Also generates in Dark Forests and Swamps). Can be crafted with 3 Brown Mushrooms placed individually in a crafting table (Crafting is shapeless).
• Birch Stumps will now generate (Oak stumps generate in biomes with Oak trees)

🌸 Cherry Grove Improvements 🌸

• No new blocks, but Poppies, Red tulips and Pink tulips will now generate in patches to break the mono-color feeling of the cherry grove.
• Rose Bushes will additionally generate around trees

🌾 Swamp/Mangrove Swamp Improvements 🌾

• Cattails will generate in water
• Algea will generate in the water. Algea allows you to place blocks AND plants on top of them, allowing you to place plants on water.

🌵 Desert/Badlands Improvements 🌵

• Small Cactuses will now generate. Small cactuses HEAVILY slow down entities that come in contact with them, while pricking them at the same time.
• Tumbleweed will generate. Tumbleweed slightly slows down and lowers the jump height of entities inside of it (The same goes for the Tall Bush)

🌿 Sparse Jungle/Jungle/Bamboo Jungle Improvements 🌿

• Blue, Pink and Purple Butterfly Flowers will generate. These flowers poison entities that come in contact with them.

❄️ Ice Spikes/Frozen Ocean Improvements ❄️

• Icicles will generate on top and below blocks. Icicles act similarly to Pointed Dripstone.

🐾 Mobs 🐾

🐞 Ladybug 🐞

Ladybugs are a passive creature which spawns in Birch Forests, Old Growth Birch Forests, Flower Forests, Sunflower Plains and Cherry Groves and Meadows.

Ladybugs have a solid hitbox, meaning you can stand on them. When killed, they drop between 1 to 2 Ladybug Wings. Ladybug wings are used to craft a Ladybug Helmet which gives a Luck effect to the player wearing it. Ladybug wings can also be crafted into Red Dye. Ladybugs can be bred with Dandelions.

Ladybugs have permanent slow falling and have a falling animation.

🐦 Humming Bird 🐦

Humming Birds are a passive flying creatures which spawn in Birch Forests, Old Growth Birch Forests, Flower Forests and Forests. Humming Birds can be bred with Honeycomb.

Humming Birds make ambiental bird sounds and drop feathers whenever they're hit.

🪴 Carnivorous Plant 🪴

Carnivorous Plants are an Aggressive Mob which spawns in Jungles and Bamboo Jungles. The carnivorous plant cannot move and will attack players and any Insect that come in contact with it. When a carnivorous plant eats an insect, it will drop between 1 to 3 slime balls. When carnivorous plants attack an entity, it will add a poison effect to it.  Carnivorous Plants are immune to poison 

Carnivorous Plants drop Carnivorous Plant Pods, which can be planted on any grass block or farmland, and will eventually grow into a new Carnivorous Plant. The crop has 3 stages, and can be locked making it unable to grow by using shears (To keep the 3 stages for decoration purposes)

The crop will generate in Jungles and Bamboo Jungles at stage 3.

🪲 Beetle 🪲

Beetles are a passive creature which spawn in Sparse Jungles, Jungles and Bamboo Jungles. They have permanent slow falling and have a falling animations. Beetles will group up and leap towards entities who damage them, attacking them back. Beetles are immune to poison. Beetles can be bred with cocoa beans

Beetles drop Beetle Wings which can be smelted into Beetle Bricks. Beetle bricks can be crafted into Beetle Brick Blocks which can in turn then craft its variants.

🐉 Dragonfly 🐉

Dragonflies are a passive flying creature which spawn in Swamps and Mangrove Swamps and make ambiental Dragonfly Sounds. When attached to a leash, dragonflies will give a slowfalling effect to the closest player. Dragonflies can be bred with firefly bulbs and spider eyes.

💡 Queen Firefly 💡

Queen Fireflies are a passive flying creature which spawn in Swamps and Mangrove Swamps. When killed, The queen fireflie's light will blind the player for a few seconds and will drop a Firefly Bulb. The Firefly Bulb is a functional block that emits light, and can be turned off by being right clicked. Queen Fireflies can be bred with Algea

The Firefly Bulb can be brewed into Blindness Potions, not present in the vanilla game.

🦔 Hedgehog 🦔

Hedgehogs are passive creatures which spawn in Forests and Dark Forests. When hit, they will prick the attacker. Hedgehogs can be tamed AND bred with apples, and have a special eating animation. When tamed, they can be sit by being right-clicked

Hedgehogs can be right-clicked with a Brush in order to make them drop a Quill (This has a cooldown of a minute and a half), Quills can be used in a crafting recipe to make Quill Traps.

Quill Traps can be activated with redstone and will damage enemies standing on them when activated.

🦀 Hermit Crab 🦀

Hermit Crabs are passive creatures which spawn in Beaches and Mangrove Swamps. They can be bred with Raw cod, Raw salmon, Sugarcane and Mangrove propagules. When attacked, their shell will eventually break dropping a Nautilous Shell.

When without a shell, hermit crabs will run away from nearby players and dig into the ground. The Nautilous shell can be placed back onto the Hermit Crab to make it stop running away from you, OR you can give it a Decorated Pot instead of a shell, which has the same effect but is an effective way to farm Nautilous Shells.

When near a Playing Jukebox, Hermit Crabs will play a dancing animation as a reference to the old drab rave meme

🦊 Fennec Fox 🦊

Fennec Foxes are passive creatures which spawn in Deserts, Badlands, Eroded Badlands and Wooded Badlands. They will attack rabbits and can be tamed AND bred with Raw Rabbit, Rabbit Hide and Rabbit's Foot. Once tamed, they can be sit by being right-clicked.

Fennec Foxes will play an animation and unique sounds when an aggressive creature is inside a range of 32 blocks around it, warning the players of nearby aggressive mobs. If the mob enters a range of 5 blocks from the Fennec Fox, the fox will attack it. The Fennec Fox also has an unique attack animation.

The Fennec Fox will enter a "Playful" state when near a hedgehog or a regular fox, playing an unique animation.
