Configurable datapack addition for formations library too support any modded biomes and blocks in biome_replacement tag

⬇ Download on CurseForge

The author built this one for Minecraft 1.20.1 on Forge. On other versions it may install and then do nothing.

This mod adds too the biome_replacement tag from Formations (Structure Library) that lets you dynamically swap or adjust biomes replacement in structures, during world generation and placement. Instead of being locked into vanilla biome layouts, you can define your own replacement rules and let the mod handle the changes automatically.

Intercepts biome and block placement of formations.

All replacement rules are defined in a simple JSON file.

Only patches what’s needed, keeping performance impact minimal.

How to use: Install the mod, then edit the provided JSON config to set up your biome replacement rules. The processor reads directly from that file, so you can tweak your world without touching code.

For the exact structure of the config, check the included JSON reference in the mod files.

Currently does nothing as it only re-adds the vanilla biomes to formations, however you can add a datapack too specify and add any blocks/biomes from any mod.

Will be adding support for as many other biomes and mods as possible as time goes on in this mod or an appropriate datapack.

Currently uploaded for future use in Abyssal Ascent to use primarily.
