Gardener’s Dream Data Pack is a decorative data pack that allows you to place certain plants into flower pots. To do this, you’ll need to crouch while holding the desired plant in your hand and interact with the pot. You can place any vanilla plant except nether wart, dead coral, pink petals, lily pads, and any hanging plants (like vines or hanging roots).
Features:
In-game feature explanations – Check the Advancements tab anytime to see what the datapack can do.
Many Pot Types – Place plants on various blocks including composters, cauldrons, barrels, etc.
- Crouch-place for a half-pot design
- Hold the block in off-hand to place in the upper half
Custom Pots – Use a stonecutter to turn a flower pot into one of 44 unique designs.
- Open barrel variant available through stonecutter
- Compatible with player heads and custom textures
Change Soil – Right-click the top of a half-pot with various blocks to change its soil.
- Supports soil-like, natural, organic, nether/end, and many other block types
Rotate Plants – Crouch while holding a stick on top of a potted plant.
- Normal: 15° rotation per click
- Off-hand stick: 7.5° rotation per click
New Variations – Even vanilla pottable plants get updated looks with this system.
Planting Freedom
- Crouch on a pot while holding a plant to place it
- Crouch-place two-tall flowers to make them one-tall
Supported Plants – Most plants work, including unexpected ones.
- Examples: all flowers, saplings, leaves, mushrooms, berries, vines, crops
- Unsupported: Lily Pad, Cocoa Beans
Break & Settings Notes
- Some plants in Creative may require running
/function gardenersdream:pot_broken - Adjust detection delay using
/function gardenersdream:_settings
