Create rituals and summon demons to trade for items and more power, but be warned all deals come with a price, and for demons emeralds might not quite be enough...

How to Summon a Demon
Gather Lavender and Chalk which both generate in all Plains and Forest biomes
Create Suet From Raw Beef and render it into Tallow
Craft a Chalk Stick and Scented Candles
Draw a summoning circle out of Chalk and place Scented Candles
Wait for night and kill passive mobs in the center of the circle, the circle will become more red the more you kill and give your ritual more power, at least a Sheep's worth of power is needed to start the ritual.
Light the candles and Invoke the incantation "te infernale invoco pacisci volo" and the ritual wil be complete.
