BC Additions is a focused expansion module for Builders Companion that adds configurable world, utility, and progression features intended for builders, explorers, and modpack authors who want control without excess content.
All features are individually toggleable via config and are designed to integrate cleanly with vanilla and modded gameplay.
Illager Patrol Warding
BC Additions introduces warding blocks that prevent illager patrols from spawning within a configurable radius. These wards are designed for permanent settlements and long-term builds, allowing players to protect areas without disabling patrol mechanics globally. Radius and behavior are fully configurable.
Glow Crystals
Glow Crystals provide projected lighting by placing invisible vanilla light blocks into nearby air spaces. Each crystal manages its own light budget and placement rate to avoid performance issues.
Glow behavior is fully configurable, including maximum lights per crystal and placement speed, making them suitable for both small builds and large-scale lighting projects.
Budding Enchantment
BC Additions introduces an advanced Silk Touch progression that allows budding blocks to be safely harvested. This enables controlled resource relocation and late-game building without trivializing early progression.
The enchantment is intentionally gated and designed for builders who want access to renewable systems without resorting to creative mode or command-based solutions.
Token of Sol
The Token of Sol is a utility item that permanently prevents Piglins and Hoglins from zombifying when exposed to the Overworld sun.
The effect is applied directly to the target creature and persists permanently. Optional requirements such as sunlight exposure and item consumption are configurable. Players receive clear in-game feedback when the blessing is successfully applied.
Additional Configurable Features
BC Additions also includes several smaller but useful systems, all fully configurable:
Enderman griefing control without affecting other mob behavior
Wild Nether Wart generation in the Nether
Optional Rose Quartz integration for Biomes O’ Plenty
Configuration and Modpack Use
Every feature in BC Additions can be enabled or disabled independently. World generation features safely affect only newly generated chunks, and behavior changes do not require datapacks or gamerule overrides.
BC Additions is suitable for both standalone play and heavily customized modpacks.
