HoldToFeed extends Let Your Friend Eating! with a hold-to-confirm mechanic and synchronized client/server validation.
Features
- Hold-to-confirm feeding instead of instant trigger.
- Duration matches held item use time
- Prevents progress while self-consuming so moving the crosshair to a target during your own eat/drink won't count.
- Minimal dot indicator under crosshair shows hold progress.
- Server validation for distance, alive/spectator checks, and hunger/canAlwaysEat handling.
How It Works
- Aim at another player while holding edible food or drink.
- Hold Right-Click.
- When progress completes, a packet is sent and server-side feeding is executed.
Installation
- Install Minecraft Forge 1.20.1.
- Install Let Your Friend Eating 1.1.2+.
- Place
holdtofeed-1.0.1.jarinto yourmodsfolder.
Technical Notes
- Client handles hold input, progress UI, and consume-state guard.
- Server handles final validation and feed execution.
- Designed for multiplayer-safe behavior.
