Evolutionary Growth: Use the Maverick Totem to trigger a permanent transformation, unlocking "Phase 2" with massive boosts to health and attack damage.

 

The "Seven Lives" System: When you or your Maverick face a fatal blow, the Maverick consumes its inner energy to grant powerful buffs—Absorption, Regeneration, and Resistance—saving you from the brink of death.

 

Mystical Scanning: Equip your companion with an Ancestral Eye to grant it permanent scanning capabilities, allowing it to detect threats in ways a normal wolf never could.

 

Advanced Combat Maneuvers: Watch your Maverick unleash a variety of special moves, from rapid Flurry Swipes to the devastating Heavy Shadow Strike and tactical Pounce Attacks.

 

Spiritual Healing: Beyond standard food, you can use specialized items like Golden Apples or Carrots to trigger high-tier "Purr Healing" sequences for quick recovery during battle.

 

Getting Started

 

Finding a Maverick: These elusive creatures can be found naturally roaming in Plains biomes.

 

Cat Conversion: If you can't find one in the wild, try using Orange Dye on a common cat. There is a chance it will transform into a Maverick; if the cat was already tamed, the Maverick will remain loyal to its owner.

 

Taming: You can gain the trust of a wild Maverick by offering it Raw Salmon.

 

Maintenance: Keep your guardian healthy with any variety of fish and meat, or use golden treats like Golden Carrots and Golden Apples for enhanced combat recovery.

 

The Totem: Seek out the Maverick Totem (Collar) to unlock your companion's true potential, activating its transformation and "Seven Lives" protection system.
