A movement mod adding grappling hook and wall-running mechanics to Minecraft. Inspired by Titanfall/Apex movement — built for Fabric 26.2.
Features
Grappling Hook
- Right-click to fire a hook up to range blocks (depends on tier)
- Pulls you toward the impact point with speed scaling by distance
- Cooldown: 10 ticks / 0.5 seconds
- Durability: 1 per use
- Wall-Running
- Sprint (W) + jump toward a 2-block-high solid wall while airborne → starts wall-run
- Momentum from your jump is redirected along the wall (preserves speed)
- Hold W to maintain; releases automatically after 1.75s, on ground contact, in water, or if you stop sprinting
- Wall-jump: press jump again during wall-run → launches away from wall with impulse scaled by your current speed (walk = short hop, sprint = long launch)
Upgrade System (Smithing Table)
Tier Item
- 1 Grappling Hook
- 2 Iron Grappling Hook
- 3 Diamond Grappling Hook
- 4 Netherite Grappling Hook
Place the hook in the first slot, upgrade material in the second — no template required.
Compatibility
- Required on both client and server
- Works in singleplayer (integrated server)
- Compatible with vanilla servers/clients when installed on both sides
- No custom packets — uses standard velocity sync (Entity.needsSync) Controls
- Grappling Hook: Right-click (hold item)
- Wall-Run: Sprint + Jump toward 2-high wall (airborne)
- Wall-Jump: Jump again while wall-running
