Logicore

So... what the hell is Logicore?

Good question.

I made it and sometimes I'm still figuring that out too.

Logicore is a tech and storage mod inspired by computer hardware, networking, infrastructure and, obviously, mods like Applied Energistics 2.

Yes, AE2 inspired me a lot.

No, I'm not pretending otherwise. 😭

Logicore originally started because I wanted to learn Java.

Then somewhere along the way I apparently decided that moving items from one place to another needed processors, storage racks, power infrastructure and enough cables to qualify as a small telecommunications company.

So here we are.

The main idea behind Logicore is simple:

Storage should feel like infrastructure.

Not magic.

Not one block that somehow contains your entire civilization.

You build a network.

You give it storage.

You give it processing.

You connect everything.

You power it.

And then you slowly lose control of the situation.

Starting is easy.

Seriously.

You do NOT need to understand half the mod before placing your first block.

Build some processing hardware.

Connect storage.

Add a terminal.

Give the network power.

Congratulations.

You can now access your stuff digitally.

You have officially built the smallest and least financially viable datacenter in Minecraft.

And then things get stupid.

This is where Logicore gets fun.

Your first network might be tiny.

A few blocks.

One rack.

A terminal.

Some cables.

Perfectly reasonable.

And then you think:

"I could probably make this better."

That sentence is dangerous.

Because now you're expanding storage.

Then processing.

Then power.

Then the room is too small.

Then you need another room.

Then the cables look ugly.

Then you reorganize everything.

Then somehow your starter base contains an industrial server facility.

This is normal.

Simple to use. Ridiculous if you want it to be.

One of the biggest ideas behind Logicore is that complexity should be something you can grow into.

You shouldn't need a spreadsheet just to store cobblestone.

A small network should be easy to understand and useful immediately.

But if you're the kind of player who enjoys optimizing systems, scaling infrastructure and building unnecessarily large technical rooms...

oh boy.

You can go much further.

Logicore is designed around systems working together instead of one magical block doing everything for you.

Storage is storage.

Processing is processing.

Power is power.

The fun comes from building the whole thing into one working network.

Or one barely working network.

Both count.

Why?

Because I didn't want to make another mod where progression eventually becomes:

craft bigger storage block

craft even bigger storage block

craft suspiciously infinite storage block

never think about storage again

I want your network to feel like something you actually built.

Something that started small and became powerful because you expanded the infrastructure behind it.

You don't unlock a datacenter.

You slowly create one.

Usually by accident.

Symptoms of playing Logicore may include:

• Calling a room full of Minecraft blocks a datacenter with complete seriousness.
• Building more storage because "I'm definitely going to need it later."
• Spending longer organizing cables than building your house.
• Expanding a network that already worked perfectly fine.
• Looking at an empty wall and immediately thinking about server racks.
• Saying "one more upgrade" and then disappearing for two hours.
• Becoming weirdly emotionally attached to infrastructure.
• Accidentally learning something about computers while trying to store rotten flesh.

If this sounds like a problem...

Perfect.

You're exactly the target audience.

And please, for the love of everything, do not unplug the network while moving items.
