Fresh Arms and Armor

This mod adds new armor and weapons, with the goal of creating Fantasy RPG martial classes---perfect for your RPG modpack. Each weapon category is boosted by its corresponding armor.

Requires GeckoLib and Better Combat

The current version of this mod contains 13 new weapon types, a new shield type, and 5 new armor types.

All armor bonuses can be changed in the config, to better suit the balance of your modpack.

The Barbarian

Two-Handed Weapons

Greatsword, Greataxe, and Maul

• Low speed and High damage

Barbarian Armor

Low protection, Big Damage. Boosts Two-Handed Weapons.

• Barbarian Armor - each piece gives 5% damage bonus to two-handed weapons, requires war sigil to craft (see below)
• Diamond Barbarian Armor - each piece gives 7.5% damage boost to two-handed weapons, requires base set to craft
• Netherite Barbarian Armor - each piece gives 10% damage boost to two-handed weapons

The Knight

One-Handed Weapons

Spear and Mace

• Comparable dps to vanilla sword
• Vanilla Sword counts as one-handed

Shields

• Increases Armor stat while held in off hand

Knight Armor

Prioritizes survivability over dps, very high armor stat, goads aggro away from other players to serve as tank

• Knight Armor - each piece gives 4% damage bonus to one-handed weapons, requires war sigil to craft (see below)
• Diamond Knight Armor - each piece gives 6% damage boost to one-handed weapons, requires base set to craft
• Netherite Knight Armor - each piece gives 8% damage boost to one-handed weapons

The Dual Wielder

Light Weapons

Shortsword, Handaxe, and Scimitar

• High attack speed

Dual Wielder Armor

Medium protection. Boosts Light Weapon speed.

• Vanguard Armor - each piece gives 5% speed bonus to light weapons, requires war sigil to craft (see below)
• Diamond Vanguard Armor - each piece gives 7% speed bonus to light weapons, requires base set to craft
• Netherite Vanguard Armor - each piece gives 9% speed bonus to light weapons

The Vanguard

Polearms

Halberd, Pike, and Glaive

• Long reach

Vanguard Armor

Medium protection. Boosts Polearm damage.

• Vanguard Armor - each piece gives 4.5% damage bonus to polearms, requires war sigil to craft (see below)
• Diamond Vanguard Armor - each piece gives 7% damage boost to polearms, requires base set to craft
• Netherite Vanguard Armor - each piece gives 9% damage boost to polearms

The Archer

Bows

Shortbow

• Low damage/range, fast draw speed, auto-fire

Longbow

• High damage/range, slow draw speed

Archer Armor

Low protection. Boosts Bow draw speed.

• Archer Armor - each piece gives 5% draw speed bonus to bows, requires war sigil to craft (see below)
• Diamond Vanguard Armor - each piece gives 7.5% draw speed bonus to bows, requires base set to craft
• Netherite Vanguard Armor - each piece gives 10% draw speed bonus to bows

New Item:

War Sigil

Uncommon drop from pillagers, required to craft base armor.

Armor

Aggro delay

• When player enters aggro range of mob, aggro is delayed by amount of time depending on armor tier

Sneak Attack

• Attacking mob while not aggro’ed results in high damage attack. Must be wielding dagger or short bow

Improved Sneak

• Allows player to get closer to mob without starting aggro delay timer
• Mid Protection
