Way New Health

by NumaCrystal · on CurseForge

Body parts, damage types, bleeding and much more!. Free Minecraft Java mod for 1.19.4, 1.19.3, 1.19.1.

Which Minecraft do you have?

Every version of the game needs its own build. Pick yours, then download — the wrong build installs fine and then does nothing in the game. This mod is built for Forge only.

I don't know my version or loader
Open the Minecraft launcher and look at the profile you play on — it names both, like fabric-loader-1.21.4. The version also shows in the bottom-right corner of the game's main menu.
No loader in the profile name? Then it's plain Minecraft, and these mods won't run — you need Fabric or NeoForge installed first.

Mod logo Way New Health — a vanilla-friendly, (almost) fully modular health system inspired by games RimWorld, Space Station 14, and the First Aid mod.

It adds a highly configurable and immersive health overhaul that makes survival more strategic and realistic.

Body Parts

Health icon

Your health is now divided between different body parts.

Each part applies its own debuffs when damaged. However, lethal damage to the head or torso will result in instant death — so stay careful!

Damage Types

Damage type icons From now on, all damage you receive belongs to one of six damage types.

Each healing item added by the mod has different effectiveness depending on the type of damage.

Blood System

Taking heavy damage at once increases the chance of receiving a bleeding wound. Bleeding causes you to gradually lose blood over time until the wound heals naturally or is treated.

Bleeding icon If you lose all your blood — you will die.

Healing

The mod uses a vanilla-style healing system based on hunger and saturation.

However, you can fully configure the healing amount — or switch to passive regeneration if you prefer.

Destruction (Experimental)

This system is disabled by default. If a body part’s health reaches zero, there is a chance it will be permanently destroyed.

Destroyed parts cause severe debuffs and cannot be healed by any existing methods.
