Whispers of the Black Rift is a horror mod for Minecraft Forge 1.20.1 that turns the world into an unpredictable and hostile place filled with dread, stalking entities, and disturbing encounters.
This mod introduces dynamic horror events that can trigger during both day and night, custom fear effects, unsettling messages, jump scares, and a collection of monsters designed to make exploration feel unsafe at all times.
Features:
- 12 original horror monsters with unique visual themes
- Day and night event system with different scare behaviors
- Random whispers, unknown chat messages, atmospheric effects, and jump scares
- Stalker-style encounters that can hunt the player across land, water, and the sky
- A special player-like entity, WBR_Beta, that can appear as part of scripted horror events
- Expanded survival tension through sudden appearances, pursuit behavior, and psychological horror elements
Whispers of the Black Rift is focused on immersion, fear, and pressure rather than simple combat. The goal is to make the player feel watched, followed, and never completely safe.
