Staff Fix — Mahou Tsukai Compatibility
This small mod fixes a compatibility issue between Mahou Tsukai and other mods that add player-based damage bonuses or abilities.
The problem: When the Mystic Staff triggers an explosion, the damage is not properly attributed to the player. This means that bonuses from other mods (attributes, skills, on-kill effects, etc.) are not applied, as if the explosion was caused by nobody.
The fix: Staff Fix intercepts the explosion damage from the Mystic Staff and redirects it through the player, so all player-based modifiers from other mods are correctly applied.
Note: The Mystic Staff requires a sufficient amount of Max Mana to deal damage. If the staff seems to deal no damage, this is expected behavior from Mahou Tsukai itself — simply increase your Max Mana.
Recommendation: It is recommended to increase the damage factor values in the Mahou Tsukai config (MYSTIC_STAFF_BIG_FACTOR and MYSTIC_STAFF_AOE_FACTOR), as the default values are very low (0.002 and 0.001 of max mana respectively). With default settings and 10,000 max mana, the explosions only deal 20 and 10 damage. Increasing these values will make the staff significantly more effective.
