Pack-a-Punch Machine

Java mod listed for Minecraft 1.20–1.21. Downloads from the MC Java Mods app on Android.

by Aritsiaserlet · on CurseForge

Universal upgrade machine. Upgrade almost any weapon or damage-dealing item, including TaCZ guns, for late-game survival and zombie apocalypse modpacks.

Which build do you need?

This mod ships a separate file for every mod loader and every version of the game. Pick both, then download — the wrong build installs fine and then does nothing in the game.

Mod loader

Minecraft version

I don't know my version or loader
Open the Minecraft launcher and look at the profile you play on — it names both, like fabric-loader-1.21.4. The version also shows in the bottom-right corner of the game's main menu.
No loader in the profile name? Then it's plain Minecraft, and these mods won't run — you need Fabric or NeoForge installed first.

Pack-a-Punch Machine

Upgrade any weapon. Dominate late-game. Pack-a-Punch Machine brings the iconic upgrade system into Minecraft boosting damage output on any weapon or damage-dealing item, with full support for both Vanilla and TaCZ firearms. Built for Zombie Apocalypse, Hardcore Survival, and high-difficulty modpacks where enemies hit hard and late-game progression matters.

Main Features

Default Upgrade Levels (Fully Configurable)

Out of the box, the mod comes with 3 default tiers, but you can add as many levels as you want (up to 100+) in the packapunch-common.toml config file!

Developer Note

This mod was inspired by older Pack-a-Punched mods and rebuilt specifically for NeoForge 1.21.1 to support newer TaCZ systems and improve late-game balance in survival-focused modpacks. A Forge 1.20.1 port is also available for players on older modpack setups.

Huge respect and credits to the original creator(s) of the earlier Pack-a-Punched Mod for the original idea and inspiration that helped shape this project.

This is not intended to replace or disrespect the original mod in any way - it is a modern reimagining focused on compatibility, stability, and support for newer gameplay systems.

Feedback & Balance

This mod is still actively being balanced and improved. If you encounter any of the following, please report them:

Upgrade costs may still change in future updates based on player feedback, as late-game costs are still being tested for Hardcore and Zombie Apocalypse modpacks. All feedback is appreciated and helps make the mod better!
