I don't know my version or loader

Open the Minecraft launcher and look at the profile you play on — it names both, like fabric-loader-1.21.4. The version also shows in the bottom-right corner of the game's main menu.

No loader in the profile name? Then it's plain Minecraft, and these mods won't run — you need Fabric or NeoForge installed first.

Build Your Faction

Faction Friction is a mod for Forge 1.20.1 and NeoForge 1.21.1 that features multiplayer support for factions, territory management, diplomacy, and warfare. It has its own claim and protection system, so you do not need to install a separate claims mod.

Form a faction with a name of your choosing, a suitable acronym, and a specific colour, then recruit players and grow from a small Team into a Colony or Country. As you reach higher tiers, you will be able to have more members, more territory, more ranks, personal plots, automatic borders, capitals, and larger military operations.

Claims & Protection

Claimed land protects blocks, containers, entities, vehicles, fluids, and more from outside interference. It also prevents vanilla explosions and explosions from supported mods.

Colonies and Countries can assign several personal plots to their members, with separate permissions determining who can use each plot.

Raids & Warfare

Teams carry out simple raids aimed at a single target. Colonies and Countries can declare wars and plan operations against enemy border territory.

Military forces are allocated among the selected targets. Attackers must breach and hold the territory, while defenders fight to keep it. Capturing a faction’s capital ends the war and defeats the faction.

Diplomacy & Communication

Faction Friction features alliances, diplomatic messages, White Peace, private faction chat, rallies, War Sirens, war notifications, configurable prefixes, and faction map overlays for Xaero’s Maps, JourneyMap, and BlueMap.

Sable SUB LEVELS Management

Personal and faction Sable ship management is supported in NeoForge 1.21.1. Ship owners can rename their ships and choose which faction members are able to use them, while faction authorities can manage every ship belonging to their faction.

Made for Servers

Almost everything is managed through the in-game menu, opened by pressing K by default. Server owners can customize most limits, timers, permissions, protection rules, warfare settings, notifications, prefixes, and other features.
