FelMobs

FelMobs gives eligible mobs a configurable chance to become stronger Rare or Elite variants. Enhanced mobs can receive improved attributes, distinctive nameplates, combat modifiers, extra experience, personal bonus drops, custom loot, and optional economy rewards.

FelMobs is designed for administrators who want more interesting encounters without surrendering control. Every major feature is configurable, and every included YAML file contains explanatory comments, accepted values, examples, units, and precedence information.

Default behaviour

• Eligible hostile and neutral mobs have a 5% Rare chance and 1% Elite chance.
• Every spawn source qualifies, including natural spawning, spawners, spawn eggs, breeding, commands, and plugin-created mobs.
• Rare mobs receive 1 modifier; Elite mobs receive 2–3 modifiers.
• Rare mobs have 1.5× health by default; Elite mobs have 3× health.
• Bosses, tamed mobs, and custom-named mobs are excluded by default.
• Passive mobs are supported but disabled by default.

Requirements

• Paper 26.2
• Java 25 or newer

FelMobs is built for Paper. Compatibility with other server implementations is not currently guaranteed.

Installation

1. Stop your server.
2. Place FelMobs-1.0.0.jar in the server's plugins folder.
3. Start the server to generate the configuration files.
4. Edit the files inside plugins/FelMobs/.
5. Restart the server or run /felmobs reload.

• config.yml — spawning, nameplates, participation, rewards, announcements, and preferences
• tiers.yml — tier chances, aliases, attributes, modifiers, and reward multipliers
• modifiers.yml — modifier weights, conflicts, mob restrictions, aliases, and ability values
• loot.yml — weighted custom loot and reward commands
• mobs.yml — individual mob overrides
• worlds.yml — dimension, world, biome, and spawn-reason overrides
• integrations.yml — optional integration settings
• messages.yml — player-facing messages

Commands

The shorter /fm alias is also available.

• PlaceholderAPI — placeholders in nameplates and messages
• Vault — individual currency rewards
• WorldGuard — excluded enhancement regions
• MythicMobs — configurable handling of custom mobs

None of these integrations are required for FelMobs to start.
