Smarter Than Copper

A Minecraft Mod that works as a frameworks for highly custom smart companions, built on Minecraft Fabric.

Overview

Smarter Than Copper is a Minecraft Mod that introduces automate smart companions, known as "Living Constructs". These constructs can be customized using data-driven blueprints! Among their skills, you can assign them tasks such as minig, crop harvesting, guarding and item storing.

Items and Blocks

The tools that you'll need for this mod's main addition are:

• Carver: A tool that will allow you to choose a blueprint to be applied to your Living Copper Block.
• Living Copper Block: The core of your construct, apply a blueprint to it using your Carver to bring your construct to life!

Behaviors

You may set your companion to many behaviors that work as following:

• Guard: Follows it's owner, attacking any nearby hostile entities.
• Mine: Order your construct to mine any blocks they see! You may set up what blocks do they mine.
• Harvest: Your construct will harvest any nearby crops, spending seeds on composters and storing items on nearby chests.
• Store: The construct will check it's nearby chests, storing matching items that are on its inventory. If it has no more items, it'll approach you!
• Idle: Give your construct a breather, it'll sit in place and wait for you.

Customization

One of the main characteristics of this mod is it's high customization for models. You'll be able to add your own construct models to the mod's "smt_constructs" folder, using custom models, textures, sounds and animations.

• You may use the base models as a template or guide on how to make your own custom models.
• Models may use any bone structure, only "Head" is necessary for the entity's goal tracking (looking at players, blocks or other entities)
• Models are based on Geckolib, highly recommend working with Blockbench.
