Oxidized - Softi's Copper

by SoftiBoiled · on Modrinth

While mojang definitely helped give copper some uses, this mod aims to do what mojang couldn't while also keeping a distinct identity

This mod aims to give Copper it's own identity while breaking away from what other mods try and do for the metal. The mod currently splits its progression in three separate paths seen below!
Board shows three split paths and item textures for Copper, Lodestone, and Lightning
This is a rendered board displaying the three progression routes in the mod. Copper, Lightning, and Loded-Alloy typically referred to as the 'magnetic' path. It explains how progression is split between the three resources and how the overlap and intertwine."

Copper Path. Copper is the bridge between magnets and lightning. Copper uses include: Wireless filterable storage sorting, decoration, movement and damaging weapons, bulk oxidization, waxxing, etc.
This board displays ther copper path with items such as the copper distributors, pot, and more and what they do. The copper uses include things such as bulk oxidization and waxxing, de-oxidization and electrification of items, filterable and wireless storage, movement tools, and even weapons!

Magnet Path. Magnets excel at movement-based mechanics. Lodestone uses include: Recontextualization of lodestones, redstone items to move items, setup focused movement.
This is the magnetic path and it provides a plethora of movement based tools. The primary function of it is to recontextualize lodestones into an alloy (netherite was DUMB) and establish consistency with what the magnets provide. The uses include a BIG movement tool in the form of the loded magnet, the loded boots to turn you into a physics object that interacts with magnetic fields, also things like the fluxer that pulls and pushes items/affected entities that are in range.

Lightning Path. Lightning is a damage and transmutation resource. Lightning uses include: Lightning in a bottles for consistent use, Decor turned armor-piercing defense, High damage crowd control weapons, Transmutative properties, Throwable Lightning.
Arguably the most distructive the Lightning path is a favorite. Boasting ways to easily use lightning as a renewable resource and utilize it for damage and defense. Hosting lightning in a bottle, tuning forks which deal large AOE damage, and copper chimes that electrify nearby entities.

This mod has compatability with both Alex's Caves and Just Enough Items
In an effort to mitigate the usage of wiki's, Just Enough Items compatability has been made alongside compatability for Alex's Caves. Neodysnium blocks can be substituted for loded-stones with magnet usage!

Special thanks to Shy_006 "my advisor" for helping me test and get things working, NerdyPuzzle for helping me on the "Just Enough Items" side of things, and most importantly you!
