Block Extinction

Block Extinction is a Minecraft Fabric mod that introduces a block extinction system. Blocks can be tracked through a shared remaining count, and once a block reaches its extinction condition, the mod can remove or prevent the affected block according to the configured extinction mode.

The mod provides configurable extinction behavior, block tracking, whitelist management, remaining-count management, and chunk-based detection. It also includes a Mod Menu configuration interface when Mod Menu is installed.

Current Version Limitations

Block Extinction currently supports single-player worlds only.

LAN worlds are not officially supported yet. If you choose to use the mod in a LAN world, please do so with caution, as multiplayer synchronization is not currently implemented.

Do not use this version on multiplayer servers.

LAN multiplayer support is planned for a future version.

Configuration and Data

Block Extinction stores its configuration and world-related data in the blockextinction folder inside Minecraft's config directory.

If you completely uninstall the mod and want to remove its stored data, you may also delete this folder.

Commands

The mod provides /blockextinction commands for managing extinction data, including whitelist management and other administrative operations.

Management commands have permission restrictions to prevent unauthorized modification.

Before reporting an issue, try using /blockextinction reload or leaving and re-entering the world, as some configuration or world-related issues may be resolved this way.
